So I killed a kitty and bought the pro-track from the gear store at Otay. Man this thing has a lot of stuff on it. I'm pretty hungover so I'm fumbling with it. This thing is overkill for me. Hopefully I will grow into it be able to utilize all the functions. Thanks for your input folks. Ed

Dude! Met the CEO and he is totally cool. He bought several rounds, Of course he said "my ed that's quite a grown up drink you have there (dirty vodka martini) and I said well I'm quite the fucking grown up at 37. Everything was great from then on. I didn't buy a drink from then on out. LIfe is great most of the time. It's that small percentage that sucks ass. Ed

Check out the email I just got from the CEO's assistant. If you guys go through with the shaving tonight Pat will buy you one round trip ticket to New York on Jet Blue effective June 1, 2003. No pond swooping for me. However Otay Lake is right there! Nah...hmmm...nah I guess I would be bummed if the Folks at L&B came out with an updated version of the Pro-track after the Neptune was released. I'm a newbie anyway and a regular Pro-dytter would probably be fine. And hey maybe there might be a few used Pro-tracks for sale once the Neptune is released. Frigg...I'm a cheap bastard. Ed

Ok so I got $300 for my upcoming birthday. It is burning a hole in my wallet. I want to get an AA. So do I go for the Protrack or wait for the neptune to come out and then decide? Opinions? Thanks Ed

If you're ever at the DZ at Otay and I'm there you can jump my rig and mess with the Hornet 170 a bit. The wingloading will be a little higher for you but I'll let you give it a go if you want. I'm not one to promote going small either. I do like my hornet 170 better that my Tri 190. Both fit in the container about the same and I didn't have to change the closing loop. There are differences between seven and nice cells in packing volume...isn't there? Ed

What do you look for in a LO

I have just under 60 jumps myself. If available I would like to work on fundamentals with people my on my level. Although jumping with experienced jumpers is great. They have always made me feel welcomed and have always given me positive input. However some of the dives have felt a bit ambitious for someone of my skill level. My confidence wasn't growing. Yes I know my ego is my own issue. I got to do some basic 3 ways last weekend and I really felt good about them. I'm going back this weekend and I'm looking forward to it. I know it has to be challenging trying to satisfy the needs of everyone's skill levels. So that's my input. Good luck my friend. Ed -
Well I guess although I never thought " god I'm going to die" I was scared for sure. Everytime that frigging door opened I got scared. I kept thinking that we might hit some turbulence and I would fall out the door. Even tho I was going to intentionally jump out in a few seconds. I know it doesn't make sense. Now it's no big deal but for the first few jumps I remember fearing I was going to somehow fall out the door. Now sitting by the door is the best. I look out and somedays the views are incredible in San Diego. At Elsinore seeing the hills covered in poppies was great. I can't wait to go to Monterey Bay. Is it the weekend yet? Ok enough day dreaming Ed

Skyeye google actually fit perfectly over my glasses that I have. But ya know...Kinda wanted to look cool with some Rx Shades. I'll keep hunting as I really don't want to deal with inserts. Thanks Ed
