Such a sad ending for a sexy airplane. I mean next to a Super Connie was there ever a cooler airplane. I saw one at JFK about 25 years at the Air France gate. It was next to an L1011. The Concorde was tiny in comparison. But with the droop snoot it was pretty cool. Pull up to the curb at the airport and you were immediately whisked into the VERY exclusive Concorde Lounge. Only 90 passengers. Might explain the extreme cost per mile. We of course prop up Egypt, Jordan and Pakistan to about the same amount Israel receives. And whose companies do you think they are "encouraged" to spend that with??. The issues regarding Israel and the Palestinians are at best only loosely related to the mess in Iraq. And Syria ain't going anywhere. Not with 3 US carriers sitting off shore.
