I thought I would add my .02, from the perspective of a guilty party. Once I got my Velocity, which I am loading up in the area of 2 to 1, I started making crosswind landings ONLY at the DZ in Hollister, since that was off the wind line, and it avoided the slight uphill associated with the normal windline. Usually this is not an issue, since I am usually pretty good about judging these things, and since I am usually swooping parallel and semi close to major obstacles (barbed wire fence and telephone lines) I am out of everyone's way. However, on two occasions I came pretty close to cutting others off, if not outright cutting them off. Strong crosswind blowing me farther out into the field and into normal landing traffic. Whose fault? MINE MINE MINE. My plan? Get my head out of my ass. Swoop Xwind only when sure I can avoid all others. Admit mistakes. Hey, quick one: I have a mongo .txt file that I have to open up in excel so I can manipulate and sort the data. It is large enuff (50+ MB) that it is bottoming out and running out of rows in excel (I get a "File not loaded completely" message or something like that). Anyone know any excel tricks for dealing with this kind of problem?
