  1. I feel like I've held one of these rubber bands before, but I'm not completely sure. If it's what I'm thinking, I feel like the bumps are like raised circles without smoothed edges, in a brick type pattern. Definitely intentional added texture, right?
  2. Keep the main, ditch the container. Lol. Sorry, I hate the Wings design.
  3. I've never used these on a rig, and I don't know where the design comes from, but my gut reaction is it sounds like a lame marketing idea someone had. Maybe it's supposed to reduce wear(but it might actually do the opposite), maybe they think it holds onto the lines better(for the people that don't double-wrap their stows), or maybe they're designed to break more easily for a more orderly deployment. I think the difference would be negligible in any of those cases. I can't really think of any other reasons for such a design.
  4. I heard Bill from Lodi said this on TV, anyone have the video?
  5. Interesting. Although, I'm glad I learned it this way. Fewer tools is better. I only had done 5 packs when I posted that, now I've done 10 and it's getting a lot easier. Still takes a while, though.
  6. Chest is easy, you can pack that shit in 15 minutes. A regular back type pilot bailout rig, like 20 minutes. Seat on the other hand, at least the one they gave me, is a pain in the ass, you gotta use two bodkins and shit, distribute the bulk evenly, the line stows are tricky as hell to get started, you gotta flip it over while holding the pilot chute spring down, everything about it makes me wanna slap the shit out of whoever designed it. And that's after they already had me packing back type rounds, I wonder what percentage of people with a back rating even packed a round. But that can be done in like 20 minutes, the seat one is a nightmare. And yes, it merits its own rating. Chest, who gives a fuck, you can pack all 20 in a day or two and be done with it. If all you had to do in order to pack a parachute is read the manual, you shouldn't need a rating, anyone could do it.
  7. I don't think he was trolling, I just thought he was being an ass, which is something he can't beat me at, so I started getting competitive. Oh well, sometimes the scrutiny brings attention to real flaws, other times it doesn't. Not a big deal.
  8. No, you came in with a lazy style of thinking... You're retarded. There. See how easy it is to debunk you?
  9. Good constructive criticism. I came in with a lazy and dismissive style of communicating, which only derailed the discussion and came across as arrogant. I actually prefer arguing in an overpowering, aggressive way... it's just how we do it on Youtube, which is also where I get my news. For some reason, that debate style doesn't feel normal here. I'm authoritarian left wing. You're more likely to find my views represented in state funded international media, but I prefer to watch independent skeptics who don't read from a teleprompter. Usually they cut through the propaganda. If they don't, the commenters will.
  10. I admitted where I went wrong. Sometimes you just can't make a comeback after saying something inaccurate. I'm ready to concede the argument, have fun.
  11. I'm not bought by the pharmaceutical industry, fossil fuel industry, military industry, financial industry, insurance industry, etc... so no, I'm not the problem. And I definitely have a more accurate view of what's going on than someone who believes corporate media. And I'm not cheering one side or the other, which is why I don't have to justify one side's corruption by saying, "Well, it was only a third of my team who needed to get kicked off the team." They aren't even your team unless you have millions of dollars. Why make excuses for how much they suck?
  12. Like the $80b increase to military spending, like giving him more warrantless spying powers, like appointing people to departments they famously want to get rid of. Sure they give token "resistance" to Trump on certain things, but a lot of the time it's because they think he isn't right wing enough. They want him to be more hawkish towards Russia, Iran and North Korea. I gave up on democrats and republicans a long time ago, they're all sellouts on both sides, so it didn't really interest me to see exactly how they're voting in the house and senate these days.
  13. Ok, I wasn't aware of that vote. They only voted with him on everything else.
  14. The democrats also went along with Trump's budget and military increase, so it's kind of disingenuous to call it the GOP's tax cuts for the wealthy.
  15. You can smell your enemies coming if you're downwind from them. I learned that from Arnold Schwarzenegger.
  16. Scooter? Is that you? I don't know who that is. Also, going back 25 years to find an example is kind of reaching.
  17. How about this? The battle for the soul is in the mind, a Christian concept. If two bodies are joined together with two separate personalities then there are two minds. Each has free will to make choices on their own and be held accountable as individuals. If two bodies are joined together with one mind then the choices are singularly individual. Keeping in mind that sin is mostly attitude not behvior. Are you saying that when separate each embryo has a soul but when joined as a Chimera the souls also join to become one? I am saying count the number of minds and that equals the number of souls. This is just conjecture to some degree on my part. I have counseled people with multi-faceted personalities and some were diagnosed Multiple Personality Disorder. I have never met nor counseled a chimera as far as I know. Wait a sec... are you saying people with MPD have multiple souls? So did they only have one soul up until the traumatic experience that made them disassociate? Or were all those souls lying dormant? You've 'counseled people' but it sounds like you have zero understanding of the disorder. I was referring to minds not personalities. Those Dx w/MPD still have only one mind. It is fragmented. When I was still in the psych field, mid-'90s, MPD was not accepted as a valid Dx by many professionals. Ok, I misunderstood. Well, I can't disprove the soul, so I won't bother.

  19. I have a hard time understanding how flaring could be hard to do. I'm 6'1 and 120lbs, so I'm abnormally skinny, it's not like I have big muscles, yet it takes almost nothing to do a full flare.
  20. Given that christian literally means one who follows Christ, such a person has a reasonable claim to being a true christian. It's a legal issue. It doesn't matter how many times you've helped granny across the street if you're already a criminal. When you die, you've gotta pay the bill. How are you going to do it? Just torture Jesus a little more and my bill will be paid. Easy peasy.
  21. You jump outta planes, but you're scared of hypothetical lynch mobs that don't actually exist. Got it.
  22. Behind the grommets, putting a very slight tension toward the canopy.

  24. I'm not sure if I hit someone, so let me call the school and check. What??
  25. Even if I believed Jesus was a real historical figure, I'd still think he was a bad teacher that gives horrible advice. Apparently he was a good doctor though!
