    bye bye

We will miss you if you leave. I agree that we should all get together and bomb this idiots e-mail. We have so few cool new chicks we cant't lose the great ones. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  4. I am going to sell my home DZ at Perris. It is not as hot has all the amenities that you could want and there are like 5 DZ within 2 hours drive. You can camp and eat all at the DZ. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  5. Welcome home girl! We missed you. Glad to hear you had a good party and made some new friends. You'll have to make your next drunken adventure in CA. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  6. Now that you have learned how not to freak out and get out of control totally its time to learn to fly. I know that for me every time I go and jump with Skydive U or experienced jumper I realize how much of a newbie I am after 50 jumps. The thrill of learning to really fly instead of fall will drive you insane. Enjoy the new expereiences FLYING and ground rush. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  7. Yet another friend gone. Prayers and good thoughts to the close friends and family. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  8. Glad to hear that you came through alright. That should be the mantra of this little group WATCH YOUR ALTITUDE. Remember that in survival school (AFF) the JMs preached to be altitude aware. As "experienced" jumpers we need to remember the basics that have gotten us this far. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  9. O.K. I am a newcomer to the sport 50 jumps. I just bought a rig that has a cypress and a RSL. Now we can all debate the RSL I know that I am but the cypress I am glad to have. I think of it and treat it like an airbag in a car. I don't count on it. I know that it can hurt me in the wrong circumstance. I always use other protection so i will not need it but it does help me feel better that it is there if I evere need it. I know that shit happens in life. Hell I had a friend of mine pass out getting off the can. Nothing was wrong with him just the perfect combination of a hundred little events that together caused the fainting. What if that type of shit happened in freefall? It is nice to have something that will be there to TRY and help you. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  10. Just what every man loves to see a beautiful skydiving chick. WOW! Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  11. Congratulations it is only going to get better. I still remember the extacy when I did my first shakey back loop. Remember to push the envelope but stay safe. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  12. Happy Birthday and many long and enjoyable freefalls. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  13. NOT one to be shy with my opinion... I think that the death penalty is a good idea, IF it is done correctly. If it has the deterent effect that it should it might be useful. NOW people sit in jail for like a billion years and spend $30,000,000 on appeal and we foot the bill for it all. HOWEVER, I mean what good is it housing a child killer or molester or rapist. You can't fix them. They won't sit in jail and regret what they did or they wouldn't have done it in the first place. I know of a case in Orgon (Sorry can't spell) where this wacko was arrested for child rape and got up for parole and told the parole board that if he got out he would do it again but would likely kill the child. He said that he couldn't contol the urges. He said castrate him so they would go away. The state did neither and let him out EARLY. HE DID EXTACTLY WHAT HE SAID 10 HOURS AFTER GETTING OUT. I hate killing but sometimes there is no better choice. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  14. I thought that was how everyone drove? Window open, head out, radio on, life is good. If you ride the bike out to the DZ put the rig under the jacket, what happens if you lay it down the rig might get hurt. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  15. I don't know if we want to go back this way but last time this area come up we spent a week trying to decide if women had problems landing much less swooping. If you can go for it. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  16. I am getting my stuff together to visit the family for the Easter weekend and dreading the lectures about not coming home and jumping. Why is it that mom always has to tell me that I should live my life in a padded room so that I never get hurt. They just don't understand (except my 12 year old brother) and are always telling me that I am wasting my time and money. Sorry I just had to vent, I am going to spend two days nodding and smiling when they say shit like "I don't get how someone so smart can jump out of airplanes!" Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  17. Not only is this a hell of website (I got information about the dropzone I took my AFF at, figured out how to pass all the levels [1st time], and bought a rig all here) but the people are top notch. You sound sick at first FFF and the 16 year old but when the chips are down I think that this would be a good group to jump with and depend onto cover your ass. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross

    I know

Mike life may be fundimentally flawed but it sure is a hell of a lot of fun. Food, Beer, Sex, and Skydiving if that is flawed then I never want ot find perfect. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross

    First jump

I am going with the rest of my comrads get the video. I can remeber diving out at 12,500 seeing the wing and then being at 11,000 (thats like 7-10 seconds). I have slowly remembered most of my first jump but that time is gone forever. Listen to the FJC instructor and your JMs like your life depends on it. You are the one in charge but they will make sure that you are safe. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  20. Skydivers of all people should know that it is not the destination but the journey that makes life fun. Think about every jump you ever made. If you spend the entire jump thinking about the ground you miss your friends, the view and the joy of being alive and in freefall. Don't ever sacrifice all of today for tommorrow because life is beautiful but fragile and tommorrow may never come. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross

    I know

I know that 42 is the answer but what was the question? Isn't that the whole point to the entire thing. P.S. That is one of my all time favorite movies I can always watch it. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross Edited by Albatross on 4/11/01 10:48 PM.
  22. I have been dealing with Levin from Fly Vertical and he is great. He has consistantly gotten me the best prices and the personal service is second to none. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
  23. Here is my bit on tattoos and peircings. The belly is one of the worst places for blood flow so it will take a long time to heal. Also if you are going to do things that stretch that part of your body it may rip or start to bleed again. AS for the tattoos I just got my first a few months ago, just remember that this is for you no one else. Get something that means a hell of a lot to you and that may or may not mean something to everyone. I wanted the same design for a year before I did it. I wanted to be sure. 24. Remember that the closing loop almost can't be too tight. If it wiggles on its own then it is way too loose. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross

    A trend?

No rules broken just that most people like to get a feel for the room before they stap in. If you are comfortable then welcome. Blue Skys and Safe Landings Albatross
