Working on the web page. Seems the person who did the initial codeing made it difficult for this old guy to hack it. As for the tandem rig.. there is only so much you can do with a couple of parachutes and some flaps. Sprinkle in a couple of UPT patents and the FAA TSO and you get a challange beyond comprehension. Working it to make the new rig user friendly, durable AND cost efective. Takes time. I welcome any and all suggestions MJ

Charlie, First-please accept my personal apology. I had you confused with another Canadian with the exact same issue. My bad. Second-Welcome to the world of tandem and if there is anything I may do assist you please contact me personally. MJ

I must say that Strong has been proactive on this one. It seems the young man in question moved and did not update his address. Charlie, your rating was re-sent 10 days ago if you have not received it by Friday please let me know. By the way I am doing this wifi at 33,000 ft how cool is that? MJ

Strong Enterprises takes on Icarus Tandem...
Mountainsky1 replied to rhys's topic in Tandem Skydiving
The FB napkin is the founding document of our relationship. I am still waiting for the drawings so that I may begin production. Should happen soon. Other manufacturers have been contacted with zero response that I am aware of. Note: We plan to approve Icarus canopies in Dual Hawks as well, provided the pack volumes work out. Cheers, MJ -

Mountainsky1 replied to rhys's topic in Tandem Skydiving
What we, Strong Enterprises, are looking for is supporting documentaion, Packing manual, line trim charts, ect. Still has not happened. In the case of Icarus we get to whole nine yards to inculde CAD drawings. MJ -

That would be Antioch and the investigator came to us. Roger was a very hard worker and a nice guy. Just goes to show you what lurkes in the hearts of men.
-
Roger used to pack for me, and the investigators traced the TYPE 3 suspensionline to a roll I had in my cabinet, and yes he was a skydiver.

nice try, You bought the ticket, You got on the airplane, You jumped out, OH yeah You hit the tail and You sued everyone. Next time you are looking for someone to talk to have a chat with Dennis Murphy. I am sure he would be most happy to talk with you, having spent several years on the ground. -
In the immortal words of my very good friend Gatewood Smith, " Son, that's all I could afford to buy you this year." I am the guys that buys this equipment. I assure you the main canopy is appropriately sized to the container. Correct packing goes a long way in changing this condition. Our mission is both 4 way and precision accuracy, that means landing on a 3 CM target, measured to the closest CM. and this equipment is the best that money can buy. It will never look like the PD-106 reserve, Velocity 90something packed into the smallest, fastest coolest harness and container system in vogue. That is not our job. In my years of experience it always amazes me how fast users of this equipment will trash it when it is quite literally given to them, that is correct, you read it right, FREE Gear. I am sorry it does not measure up to your standards, I'll try and do better next time. Marty Jones
