This time its only a weekend, the next will be 8 weeks I'm trying to lead her astray, spoil her training she may become a reject then i can keep her!! I dont know if you guys have guide dogs over there (you know, for blind people), theres quite a few over here. Anyways... The guide dog association here lost a lot of money in the last couple of years (its not goverment funded and relies on donations etc) and they couldn't afford to kennel the dogs while they were in there intensive training. As a short term measure they found homes in the local areas to house them. They found from this though that the dogs really benefited from this and so now use local homes to 'board' the dogs while they train. I got a leaflet through the door a couple of months ago asking if i'd be interested to which i replied 'hell yes' Few training sessions later (you have to know how to treat them, what they need to do etc, cant undo any of the training they receive) and for this weekend i have my first loaner dog!! You normally get them for 10 weeks, but this is just for the weekend while they're usual boarders are away. Her name is beth, and she is the most beautiful and most intelligent dog i've ever met.
