  2. PRO SWOOPING TOUR For immediate release: The PST has announced that tour will hand out over $40,000 in cash during the three official stops of the 2006 season. The PST will hold it's biggest event of the year at the Mile Hi Swoop Park with a $20,000 cash purse paid to the top 10 finishers. The 2006 PST events will be Pro/Am competitions where the CPC's top amatuer pilots (top 15 finishers from the 2005 CPC Championships) will get the opportunity to compete at the PST's main events along side the pros. Included at the PST Pro/Am events will be the two way (team) Pro/Am event where one pro will team up with one amatuer pilot for a team speed competition. The PST's format for the 2006 season will be two round events for all competitions. This means that at one PST stop competitors can expect to do two rounds of distance, speed, accuracy, freestyle and team speed (8-10 round competition). Unlike the past two years, this year the PST will not combine one of its main events with the U.S. Nationals of Canopy Piloting. The CP Nationals has only been a test event until this year. The date and location of the 2006 U.S. Nationals of Canopy Ploting will be decided at the USPA board meeting later this month. The PST's new format, rules, guidlines and schedule is due for release Feb 28, 2006. www.proswoopingtour.tv The Farm
  3. PRO SWOOPING TOUR For immediate release: The Pro Swooping Tour issued four new pro cards at Skydive the Farm in Georgia on Jan 28-29, 2006. Tyler Lawson, Mark Shimell, Chuck Owen and Ian Drennan finished in the top 10 at the championships which earned them the opportunity to take the PST's pro qualifier. The Pro qualifier is a 220 ft long, 30 ft wide carving speed course with 5 ft high vertical markers. Pilots must achieve four out of six runs by scoring the entry gate without touching any vertical markers and reach the exit gate before making contact with the surface. The qualifier had good weather with only an occasional switch in the wind direction between rounds. Ian Drennan had the best overall qualifier with four straight successful runs and no misses. The Pro Swooping Tour welcomes our newest members! The PST will hold a CPC non X braced swoop competition, qualifier and swoop camp at Skydive the Farm March 23-26, 2006. 5. Skydive the Farm is trying to rent a portable fun house (inflatable bounce house) for the CPC's non x braced competition Mar 23-26th. It looks like we might have the big inflatable bounce house, a cool gyro spinning ride and some other stuff to go along with the party and fireworks. Did we mention we are also going to give away a cash purse at the event! This is going to be a cool CPC event. Remember, you can attend the swoop camp and recieve coaching without competing. There will be daily seminars and an intro into the CPC and the world of competition swooping... The Farm
  6. Well, i hope you will be there first week of April. I hear it should be fun There are so many swoop competitions and boogies these days it is nearly impossible to keep events seperated. Months and months of work goes into attempting to make a schedule that will work best for everyone. I think we did a pretty good job this year which you will see when the schedule comes out at the end of this month... The Farm
  7. We always have room for girls, we need more. Maryann Kramer from Dallas is back training this year and will be using her pro card to compete on the tour with Kaz Sheeky. We also have many new girls getting into the CPC this year. The CPC has a much larger field this year going from about 80 amatuer pilots in 2005 to 130 pilots in 2006. The CPC has also added four new districts to the circuit including two Canadian districts, New Jersey and New England...Jim P.S. 8. This first event in Atlanta is a CPC test event. If it goes well we will schedule another on the west coast (Perris). If we can get enough participation for two clean competitions I will consider adding the new class to the CPC Championships!...Jim The Farm
