  1. $10 to 4k + $1 per 1K after that... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  2. >]I don't know about this statement! I found Paxton and Jimmy to be very friendly and helpful. I was envited on a sunrise jump and a swooop at some guys house on the lake. Those guys rock. The first night they offered beer and small talk. When Jimmy found out my Neptune was acting up he gave me his, while waiting for mine to get fixed. Paxton Vinyard is a good friend of mine and a top notch individual, knew him when he couldn't fly.. hahahahaha Now's he's one of the best and always willing to pass on his knowledge. He's one of the safest jumpers I've ever met. You'd be hard prest to keep up with him partying too... hahahah Great Skydiver, Great guy. DeLand can't help but be a cool place as long as he's running around down there. Last time I was there he introduced me to a lot of his friends. They are as cool as he is. DeLand has a lot to offer... if you are ever in the area you ought to at least check it out for yourself. And when you're down there... Tell Paxton that Fletch said "Wasssup!". 3. What can I tell you... it's mud... sling it on the wall. Wipe it off... Don't see how it could be any different.. hahahahaha If I can answer your questions I will. Blues, Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  4. I had heard that. What happened to Skydive SoBe? Seemed like they were making a go of it with JC Perrin and Michelle Germain running the place. It's a beautiful location. I guess Clewiston is so close and so much better established that they get all the business. Anyhow, I don't mean to bad mouth Clewiston, I was just relaying my two experiences there. Like I said. one was a good experience and the other was no experience at all. Perhaps I just hit it on a bad day... 5. My sister lives in North Port. When I am visiting her I like to hit a little dropzone in Wachula. It's only a little Cessna dropzone but the people there are top notch and I always have fun when I visit there. You might check it out. Lake Whales isn't that much farther up the road either. I've been to Clewiston twice with mixed emotions. The first time, there was no one there and so the manifest person made a few calls and a local came out and jumped with me. We were the only two on the load in the 206. Thanks guys for getting me in the air. But then the second time I was there I was in manifest with my DZO and his wife and we stood around for 10 minutes in there with three people behind the counter and not one of them made an attempt to say "hi", "can I help you" or even "kiss my ass". So we moved over into the hangar where there had to be 15 jumpers packing and stuff and not one of them asked us even what we were doing there. My DZO was not impressed at all by the way we were ignored. So rather than force ourselves onto a bunch of unfriendlies, we just grabbed our stuff and drove on over to Pahoke where we ended up having a great time jumping the Cross Keys Skyvan and Caravan. I'll visit Clewiston again I'm sure, but I'm not sure if my DZO ever will. Blues, Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  6. You guys are f*cking awesome... I'm never calling a repair man again! Blues, Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  7. Here's another one of me filming a guy practicing his head down technique. Blues, Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  8. My DZO has a 101. I have a 105. They are very similar. I like them both. I'd say you couldn't go wrong with it. Have fun. Blues, Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  9. I have one rig with b-12's and one without. I find the b-12's to be a bit bulky but not too bad. I recently ordered a new micron with step thru's. For me they are simply more comfortable. On another note, I have a very good friend in Arkansas that had a small collision in the air. Nothing to serious except that she was hit in the vicinity of her b-12 and it came undone. Scary stuff. She ended up having to deploy with it unsnapped. More scary. I thank god she is still alive. It was a Mirage harness by the way. It all boils down to your personal preference. Good luck. 10. If it's anything like my 105 and my D-Box you shouldn't have to cut anything. It's a tight area so I actually can't plug the LANC in with the camera in the box already. I just plug the LANC into the camera, then drop it into the D-Box... On removeal I flip the box upside down, plop the camera out and then disconnect the LANC. Not the ideal set up but minimal hassle and no cutting or drilling... Blues, Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  11. She seems like she knows what she wants and that is good. However, I don't think ANY 11 year old should be using the kind of language that she uses. When you are grown up, you can be as foul mouthed as you want, but at 11 someone should teach her that, that is just not how a lady should talk. My mom used to wash my mouth out with soap. Maybe someone ought to think about doing that to her. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  12. I've got 530 jumps to date... I've been packing my own since jump #1. Packing paid for all my student jumps and all my experienced gear. I think everyone should know how to pack if they are going to jump. If you're one of my students your packing your own stuff shortly after you throw your own pilot chute. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  13. Hhahahaha Too funny... not one of you is wearing a jacket rated for snow. Probably don't even own one huh? Hope you enjoyed your white christmas. Blues, Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  14. I teach IAD and have my students sit with their back to the IP. #2 is behind the pilot and #3 is behind me with back to rear wall. My students all jump Dolphin Containers with BOC and ROL pockets. When jumping IAD I pack the PC in the ROL pouch. On jump run I ask the student if they are ready to skydive. Once I get a positive response I then reach down with my left hand and remove the PC from the ROL pouch. From there I slip it up behind the student exposing only enough bridal to reach their shoulder where I hold it until the time in which I release it into clean air under the airplane. At this point I take the door from the pilot, observe my spot then open the door. As soon as the door is open I block the door by holding the door frame with my right hand. This helps to keep my students a bit more calm since I am between them and the outside of the plane at this point. I then instruct the student to put their feet out and stop. At this point I want them to reach out with their left hand and grab the strut. Once they do this I release their feet from between my knees and let them swing their feet out onto the step. This ensures that at all times my student has three points of contact with the plane. Hand on strut, butt on floor and feet on step. I can check their pin at this point with my left hand. I then intstruct them to climb all the way and hang. I remove my blocking arm and switch hands with the PC at this point INSIDE the airplane and out of the propwash. The student reaches out with their right hand and grabs the strut. Now with my left hand free I can reach down and grab the back corner of their rig and actually lift them and help them out. This works real good for small girls having trouble pulling themselves around. Once on the step they move to the end where they check back with me (giving me catch up time if I need it). From there they get the affirmative nod where I have them do their cross over and lower themselves into a hanging position. After they exit, I climb back in and shut the door. I have #3 slide over to their left... I scoot to the back of the plane beside #3 and then have #2 slide into place beside the pilot with their back to the IP. #3 then moves into the position #2 previously held and the whole thing starts over... Works very well. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  15. I was just told that my Micron would probably be ready sometime in the middle of January... 3 short weeks away... I am so excited. First special order rig... Yeah, I know... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  16. Here's one of an exit off the van in DeLand. I'm filming my DZO and his son in law. Ray Lamb actually did the video, but it was a decent shot of me. I was just practicing. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  17. That sounds damned unreasonable to me... Where are you located? I'd give you a refresher for free. Not a lot has changed in the last few years. It's probably a good idea for you to sit through a first jump course again or at least an in depth refresher. We charge $20 for a refresher course at our DZ. And I'm sure that after at least 1 jump you'd be right back where you left off. I would for sure call another DZ and talk to them. It seems as if your first choice is just trying to cash in on someone that has already paid their dues. The nerve of some people... 18. I like to hang from the strut with my back to the prop. My feet are on the front edge of the strut and I am FACE to FACE with the student. I leave at the same time as the student by just letting go of the strut and falling straight down. This makes for KILLER shots of the student during the exit and on the hill. I slowly transition off of my back into a sit then onto my belly. Timed properly I am never more than 4-6 feet away from the AFF and usually on level with them. It's been working real well for me lately. Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  19. If this is who I think it is... I believe it's the first time you have ever borrowed my RW suit... That's gotta count for something because I am thirsty. :) 0:8:0 Shot a few tandem videos on Saturday, 1 on Sunday. Put out a few IAD students Saturday and Sunday. Made a fun jump with Bryan and Norm on Sunday.... the video rocks. I'm not sure there anything funnier than one guy giving a kiss pass to another guy especially when the other guy doesn't even know it's coming... hehehehe The video is WAY too funny. Congradulations on your 50th jump Norm. Sorry you had to be broke in like that. Just be glad he didn't deploy your ass after he pulled his toungue out of your mouth! You sick bastards. I love you guys... hehehehehe Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  20. I made my 500th yesterdsy... :) Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  21. 5 Hours 35 Minutes... AFF Rating is right around the corner. :) Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  22. I recently emailed the RWS on several diferrent occasions. I would like to order a new MICRON. Mark never returned my mail and the mail I sent to rws, egon & rosi was all undeliverable. I won a 35% Discount Coupon that expires at the end of this month and I'd like to use it. I can't call them as I am no where near a phone during regular business hours. Email seems to be my only means I have of contacting them and they don't seem to be getting my mail. Does anyone know anyone at RWS? Can anyone out there help me? 23. Only a few days left... Hope to see you all there... Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
  24. One more week to go... Then the fun begins... Remember, if you live in Missouri, Iowa, Arkansas, Oklahoma or Kansas then we probably are all that far away from you. Come on out, you won't regret it. Bring a tent and just stay at the airport... There will be lot's of us there doing just that. It's one heck of a way to end the summer.
