  1. Good idea Mark. I don't know about him, but I've been packing reserves all day. Enough. I'm pouring my first glass of wine now. I was on a five-day bender of sleep deprivation at the hospital taking care of my wife. What an incompetent lot of medical personnel. There was like only one shift with a good nurse, and one, maybe two awesome NAs. The rest were just out-right bitches that hated their job or were too preoccupied with shop-gossip or facebook. No doubt that men make better nurses. I still believe that the US healthcare system does the most for it's patients, but I'm starting to believe Kallend and his wife that most of it's just non-sense. Most of it's just to cover their own ass. If you have a loved one in the hospital that's somewhat immobile, my advice to you is to stay with them practically 24/7. Only take a break if you really trust the RN/NA on duty. Learn where all the medical supplies are so you can take care of shit when it happens. Learn how to operate/fix IV errors - it's not hard and will save you from a lot of heart ache and sleepless nights. Be an asshole, because that's the only language they understand when it comes getting things done for your loved one. Be their advocate! There is so much to say about this, but to sum it up, these places are run by Satan. They just do shit to test your patience. They fuck with you. I don't know if it's on purpose (which is hard not to believe) or if it's just a lack of effort. They have so many doctors/nurses coming in and it's hard to fill them in on the details. It's like the patient's stories are just forum threads they read on a computer. They just superficially glaze over the content and miss the entire point. For the most part, medical personnel hardly ever communicate with one another in person. In the end, I can appreciate how thorough they are when it comes to a diagnosis and treatment, but patient comfort needs to be weighed just as much. I would also impose background checks and strict psychological evaluations for nurses to ensure this is the right profession for them.
  2. Believe me I wanted to add more. Personally tho, I wish I could've been more concise. Anyway, who cares. . .it's SC. Besides, it was way more "sufficient" than any of your fat-fingered mobile baloney.
  3. With all the money they're saving, they could afford to pay us to buy their products. It's a win-win! Btw, I still think Indians and Chinamen, err children, are easier to exploit - oh, and cheaper too!

***>It seems the left is gonna have to learn how to actually engage in conversation if >they are to expect any type of change. I think they will learn the lesson of this election - that a constant stream of attacks, ridicule, bigotry and obstinate are far more effective than conversation. Trump simply beat the attackers at their own game, and the right loved him for it. The left should've known who they were up against.

Actually, society has had a shit ton of change toward the left. Probably just a little too much and too fast for some people though. The whole bathroom rights debate is an example of this. It's really just a trivial matter, but has become a road just a little too far. Especially after SCOTUS ruled in favour of marriage equality. Part of the rightward swing in the election is a reaction to things happening too quickly for many. "Some" people is not "many" I doubt most people on the right really care when it comes down to it. I think they cared more about how the left just had their way with them, shit all over their religion, falsely stereotyped them and then laughed in their face. Proverbs 24:17-27 "Don't laugh when your enemy falls; don't crow over his collapse. God might see, and become very provoked, and then take pity on his plight." (good advice also for the right to follow in the midst of their "victory" - be thankful God used the left as a modern day example. ) Anyway, when I talk to those on the right, their #1 complaint was how their health insurance for the same plan they had for years now costs more for less. One retiree said, hell I don't care if I pay more for insurance, but it's not as good and my 27 year old son is back in school and working part time as a mechanic, but was denied medicaid even though he should qualify now, so what the hell am I paying for? The system isn't working as promised. If there was anything that happen too fast for people to process, it was AHC. But I also understand that something had to be done. Hopefully they get it fixed sooner rather than later - probably not gonna happen under Trump though, apparently.
  6. I assure you, my reasons for not liking Hillary are completely superficial. You might be able to find some lame reason to call me sexist, but how dare you accuse me of being hornswoggled by fake news. Maybe if she handled herself through the campaign as she did during her concession speech (or hell, even her Benghazi/email hearing) I would feel differently about her. She didn't have that annoying, overly enunciated phony voice. She was authentic. . .even if she wasn't completely honest. Though the actual number of #tregret in this forum is rather low, I was more interested in hearing from the Gary Johnson Voters. His votes in the rust belt were about 3 times higher than the previous election. If half of those votes went to Hillary, she could have possibly won by a landslide. It's interesting that Gary Johnson voters have no regrets and are still OK with a Hillary lost. I can respect that they stuck with their values, yet on the other hand, some G.J voters seem to be the most inncessant/vocal Trump haters among them.

I think people have overestimated the power of ridicule. I thought labeling all Trump supporters as misogynistic racist xenophobes would've been an effective "tactic." Clearly I was wrong. It seems the left is gonna have to learn how to actually engage in conversation if they are to expect any type of change.
  8. I already made it clear that I believe the system is working. Iraqi operatives did in fact use the refugee program to infiltrate the US. These were known operatives with identifiable information already in our system, yet they made their way in anyhow. I agree with the Obama Admin that it was a serious flaw and needed to be addressed. The system is now better because of it. The link I posted further demonstrates how the system is working, but also shows how radicals might want to take advantage of various immigration programs to gain access to US soil. Now's not the time to become complacent, nor overreact.
  9. I didn't read anything about them being deported. One received 40 years, the other got a life sentence. At their sentencing, prosecutors brought attention to FBI surveillance tapes that caught the guys discussing plans to bomb/assassinate an army captain and attack other U.S targets. If you're interested, here's the full story. Something you won't get from CNN. http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/al-qaeda-kentucky-us-dozens-terrorists-country-refugees/story?id=20931131
  10. Honestly, I didn't know what you were talking about when you said "the bowling Green Massacre." I was just referring to an article I read a few years back from 2013: http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/al-qaeda-kentucky-us-dozens-terrorists-country-refugees/story?id=20931131 And just FYI, here's a list of 60 thwarted attacks. Some of the terrorists were natural born citizens, some were naturalized citizens, some were legal permanent residents, some were refugees. I didn't take the time to figure out specifically how or why these people came here, nor when they were radicalized. http://www.heritage.org/terrorism/report/60-terrorist-plots-911-continued-lessons-domestic-counterterrorism
  11. Ya, because the system is working at least here in the U.S. There have been plenty of thwarted attacks, like the one in 2011 when Iraqi operatives infiltrated the U.S, causing Obama to suspend the Iraqi refugee program. But that doesn't excuse their behavior, there are plenty of lost souls out there that don't resort to violence. The next time christian nutters blows up an abortion clinic, I bet you won't be in here talking about how we should've been nicer to them rather then calling them a bunch of delusional misogynists.
  12. Building a wall seems like bad business. Just take over Mexico and clean it up. There's a lot of prime real estate down there for Trump resorts and plenty of cheap house keeping. Incentive based compensation for manufacturing jobs would explode! #TheRealNewMexico
  13. In the end, Trump voters were merely compelled, while Hillary's snarling was painful enough to break the Clinton sire bond for good.
  14. I understand your response was mere "revenge." But seriously, what do you have against the big 3? It seems personal. . . I still haven't said goodbye to my 2005 GM silver car. (knock on wood) I'm still shy of about 30k less than yours, but I haven't had to do anything other than oil changes, tires, brake pads, and replace the heater-core. Also, please know that my baby has slugged back-and-forth across the country at least a half dozen times and has slushed through rain, snow, sleet, hail and salt for the majority of it's life. . . OH, and pot holes. . .($500) Can't remember any of those in California. . .
  15. Back in my 20s, I partied pretty hard with some Mexicans in California. Not sure if they were legal or not - never asked, didn't care. We had a good time - certainly broke some laws. Not sure if I'd be OK with sending them back, especially after meeting their families and understanding their circumstances. If you're an illegal, then it's a crap shoot. If you're a legal resident, then I think you should be afforded more leniency. But if you do something that could cost you your job, then maybe you should be sent back to think things over. If you're an immigrant citizen, then you are a citizen. no deportation for even the worst of crimes. But I've been thinking lately - and I know that's never a good thing. But if we capture illegals that are rapists and murders, why should we send them back just to rape and murder more - or afford them them opportunity to even come back? I'd have no problem dropping a dime or two sending them to Guantanamo or wherever the fuck.
  16. Please choose the most accurate option, thanks! Edit: I chose option 7. I didn't vote. I was out of town unexpectedly and didn't think I could get an absentee ballot out in time. I would have probably voted for Kasich. He was my choice given the initial options.
  17. Are you sure that's what I said? Even if I did, what would be so wrong with something like a youth group mission trip to Quebec?
  18. Can you please show me how all 800,000 of those jobs are realistically threatened? In the Trump Gaffes you were saying that Trump had nothing to do with those 130 jobs. Rather than going with the 800,000 jobs related, "in whole or in part," to clean energy, I could understand why Trump would choose to protect the 14 million jobs related, "in whole or in part" to the automotive industry. Pretty sure that at least 12 million people in the rust-belt agreed with him. . .
  19. So it appears it's not so "black and white" after all? Thanks for your posts.
  20. I'm not really into the whole circle-jerking thing. However, people in my circle ARE informed about what's been going on in Quebec, Mosul, Kenya among many other places - some are Knee deep in the shit. Practically every Church that I've attended across this great country of ours has multiple missionary programs per year. Some people give all they have to help, some have even died. So please excuse me if I take exception with those that say that "americans are woefully ignorant" and that such comments are "fair." That's the thing with stereotypes - you're likely to offend someone. I thought liberals were aware of that.

They won't take him, he has a bad ass. Don I know it didn't sound good when I said that. I just think many people in their 40s, or even 50s are more than capable. But I'm sure they have their reasons for the age limit. Anyway, sorry for the thread drift.
