Don't knock T. Swift. I think she's a goddess. . .

Amazing. All that decorating for the power cost of a bright lamp bulb. When Vskydiver and I remodeled our current home, we installed LED can lights all over the house, many on dimmer switches. Super nice in the kitchen esp.

I liked #1. #2 was too stoopid even for me.

Ho-lee $hit. I would have bet the house that bridge was gonna fail.

Put up a damn picture of something fun you've been doing

New experience for you, good practice for them, and they got to meet a very pretty girl. Win, win, win. -
I say don't shame yourself. You knew EXACTLY what was going on, that the RSL had deployed your reserve. The old, old tandem manual used to advise "cutaway, let the RSL deploy the reserve, be prepared to back it up." My wife, on her 2nd or 3rd cutaway, actually let the RSL deploy the reserve, just to check it out. Worked great. On the way down, she realized everyone was going to give her $hit about "NOT pulling your reserve" so she yanked the handle out of the pocket. She's a big girl, a good skydiver. She knows what she's doing. After landing after one chop, I mentioned I had reminded myself that the rig had no RSL, so make SURE I got the reserve pulled. One jumper was aghast that I even considered that factor. Hey, I try to ALWAYS know what's actually going on behind my back, and double plan accordingly. Seems like a good way to see tomorrow.

3 black diamonds, 1 double black, and only a sole Blue Square down? Yeah, I think you made a wrong turn, lady. -

Very good point. -

Looks great. -
Vskydiver and I witnessed a guy hit a jay-running pedestrian in FL last May. Totally not the driver's fault and the jay-er was an idiot, but I'm sure the driver spent a lot of $$$ by the time it was done. I was hit off my bike by a car when I was 14. Even though I had right of way and a green light, the driver making a right turn on a red just "didn't see me." I had just moved from a state where they didn't have that law yet, so this guy really took me by surprise, since I had always been taught to ride defensively. When I see people just saunter out into traffic without a single glance, I just want to yell to them that there's a limited future in that.

Batteries for your skydiving electronics

Checking the rating is probably the best way to get reliable aftermarket performance. -
I wanted to get 1 strand of the clear, white C-9s while on sale but I didn't see any left. I like those for stringing up for outdoor lighting at barbecues, etc. Make great party lights.

DZ handing out ratings based upon false records
JohnMitchell replied to CasGal's topic in Tandem Skydiving
Where is this DZ that hands out ratings to anyone? I want to get my IAD ticket. -
Oh hell yes. I'm amazed at pedestrians who march out in traffic without a glance at the cars, head down on their cell phones. Gopros hurt skydivers, texting kills drivers, selfies cause fatal falls. Think, people, think!

Oh wow, that's great. As parents of 4 kids, scattered across the country, we've come to really appreciate the times we have them all together. This was our first "empty nest" Christmas.

You know we're doing the same thing. I threw all my old, corroded C-7 and C-9 lights this year. We have a small artificial tree, pre-lit, and enough ornaments to make it look nice. After decorating, I dropped the leftover ornaments off at the thrift store. Simplify, simplify. I used to want more storage. Now I want less stuff.

If mom and you have the same personality, the whole world will be kept in stitches by that little girl.

I know. That's supposed to be the cooler month, right? I wonder how my kids are doing in their new place in Cape Coral with that. Have you and Normiss switched to mostly LED Christmas lights? Although I loved the old school C-9s with the big clear glass bulbs, they sucked the amps. I noticed a big improvement in my holiday electric bill when I made the switch. I still use the standard mini-lights some. I just like they way they look. Not as many people put up Christmas lights as they used to. I really miss seeing block after block of houses with beautiful decorations and colored lights draped all over.

Hey, a guy can hope. . . .

Cold and $hit jumping weather out here in WA. They did get a load up to 9K today, under a cold overcast. I had my rig in the car but I just couldn't get enthused enough.

Ohhh, on your car. . .

Got that smile, doesn't she? 8#, 10 oz. That's one healthy baby.

Nice that our sport has some good back ups and buffers in it, right?

Yeah, Vskydiver and I were a little disappointed with this one too. I don't think we'll see the big rush to the DZ. Better wingsuiting videos all over YouTube.
