  1. I won't even consider taking my rig to car wash; especially this time of year since they use re-cycled water in the power washers I'm told....! (salt water) But I have been thinking seriously about the front-load washing machine idea, using Woolite and doing some spot cleaning for prep. before tossing it in. It sounds very easy and efficient. Any other ideas? . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  2. No, you probably shouldn't have... After the camera, lenses, tapes/memory cards, discs, computer, router, cables, discs and assorted software I'm trying not to think about it... at least I did get a deal off the $800 list price for P.P. ... The weird thing is after spending "Thousands," I really have no buyers remourse . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!

  5. Its quarter after six now and a forty-five minute drive each way to pick it up. My new Premier program is waiting for me... calling to me... "Sarge, come for me," "I want you to get me and install me!!! NOW!" I know if I give in I won't get any sleep tonite... It will keep me up wayyyy too late and I have to work tomorrow! Damn... what would you do? . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
  6. Ahhhh yes, I remember that thread and that controversy; almost forgot... it happens so rarely in such a blatant fashion... I do remember though that no seller-review section seemed neccessary because the word flies like a gas-fueled wild-fire when people are ripping off other skydivers... But H.H. liked the idea so I do . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!

  14. Well here's a pic out of an otter (my solo porter back-facing exits are almost exactly the same though) I really don't think it matters much... anyway... I have a series of pics that get me from the exit through the hill and the position remains much the same, the only niticeable change is as I bring my elbows down to / below shoulder height towards the bottom of the hill. You might notice that my total body postion is consistent and in orientation to the prop blast. But if you look at the pic with your head slightly tilted to the left you can see flat feet, calves, knees, thighs torso at nearly 90' angles...I even use my hands in a subtle way right out the door. No balling up... Point is, exit it like you want to jump it, and keep your chin up. You can out go out facing the prop, sideways, inverted sit and still get to this position like you said "in a couple of seconds" ...but you want to be there out the door. This is like the text-book exit position for the most part. It really is not difficult. exit like you want to jump it, your body will figure out the feel with practice if you remember to breathe and relax. . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!

  24. I think of it as the longer recovery arc allows for more speed-building potential because the pilot has a lot more altitude to use to generate/maintain speed for a HP landing. There is also a greater potential for other things to be happening in that extra airspace. Traffic management, course adjustements and precision inputs demand a very attentive pilot; hopefully already possessing some developed HP skills. . -- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
