I just look forward to your objective and informative evaluation of the C2 since for in my own humble experience I have chosen it as my wing of choice (over the Stiletto). Hey Becky, I'm a cop too, in illinois 16+ years in law enforcement. I don't know the laws in Tennessee but state-to-state I do know they can vary GREATLY! Call your lawyer, if you are receiving this intimadation over the telephone call your local police. A simple harassment by telepone report should do. Lazy cops or not its on file (I have gotten these 'your' types of cases rocketed through the system by using a back-door technique such as this). If for example they come via the mail U.S. or e- / (really stupid!!) save it all!!!! Another thing, if you were allegedly resposible for supervising your daughter during the alleged perpetrations, yes, its a shit-pie. Remember there has to be some sort of evidence, testimonial, physical, etc... so go take a flying F&^%$K in other words... "prove it you @ss!" I have been involved in several cases (formally as the Commader of the Investigations bureau),,, sadly to say... where the last thing anyone wanted to believe was what happened! ...shaken baby twice, boyfriends/uncles/babysitters more than I care to remember...of course you have a right to feel frightened. The system also recogognizes that these are all too frequent and common false and malicious claims initiated by a former spouse. You have that in your favor. There have been a few recent posts that got me wondering again about an unresolved question I have always entertained about : skydiving skill and predispostion... (not to say that because you were 'this-or-that-athelete' that explains why you're good or you suck, or it took you that long -or whatever-... ) But, I don't recall seeing this one before, and I always wonder about and frequently ask, "Hey, before you started jumping, what did you do?" (in an athletic context) The question centers on an exploration of the issue of athletic predispostion to a particicular skydiving discipline and relative prowess within that or those given disciplines. Some of my (un-official) emperical findings are: I have found a lot of fellow freaks are just thrill junkies; anything fast; motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, water skiing ;motorized influenced. still safety conservative, weird... (but nontheless have excluded motorized sports as a primary catagory in the poll) R/w'ers seem generally less independent in athletic expression. Generally team sports backgrounds,,, Anyway... if perhaps this inquiry is welcomed with some prominent degree of enthusiasm, I may continue a more thorough investigation, and a more complete and comprehensive analysis. I have a fond regard and respect for those who make 'resolutions' and honor them. I have thus far failed in attempts to maintain resolutions that are absent true inspiration. As far as that goes my inspirations for self-improvement seem fatefully doomed to being constructively developed through processes of trial and error. I am satisfied with my waist size, or else I'd change it. I don't care for how much I have smoked so I cut down. I decided I will give what I can when I can. ok, sorry, (some 'fine' details appear) I apologize. I went in the corps, I thought at the time, for my family. I was away ALOT. All they ever wanted was for me to be there, I thought I was doing them a favor in the long run. It was costlly for me, and them. Now, I wish I had been there, for all those priceless and un-recoverable moments of their lives.... My X never forgave me. It put them through a lot not by them not knowing where I was or what might be happening to me. I believe, for me, If I want to fly, and don't, that dream will die with me alone. Excellent document, thanks! and I have to agree with Leonardo and Jimbo; fly the thing. On my side, 13,14,15, lbs isnt a big difference, if you are in-tune with your wing. I' don't hear that you are? When your last jump was in july, I'm assuming a nice hot day? you have, in my approximation the difference from a cool April jump in relative density altitude, that (depending where you are) could easily translate into that 10-15 lb apparent weight addition in July anyway... Don't do as I do, (words of advice also) but personally, I'd jump it. I've used weights to emplore exaclty the concept your talking about. It boils down to being committed to the basics. Albeit get up there high and refamiliarize yourself with the inputs... and land safe not close... running out a few steps is quite fine, if you can run... Seriously, any doubt remaining get that extra 10-20sq ft over your head and repeat steps 1-3. If you like whats happening and nobody rushes you, then get back in the harness under your (hornet) canopy.
