  3. Hi! After careful consideration, I recommend that you stick with your current Instructors and skydiving school until you finish all training through your A license, then catch us at our next event. In the meantime, I can recommend some great sources of post-A license canopy coaching. I'm not sure of your location, but if you are close to us at Raeford I have local recommendations as well. We look forward to hearing from you! Arrive Safely John

  8. VERY glad to hear that, Ian. This event is shaping up to be our best ever! I have been working on some other arrangements today that will be a benefit for all participants - Competitors and Fundamentals folks as well. Now all we need is good weather. More to follow as I get all the other stuff nailed down . . . Arrive Safely John
  9. Exciting updates: -In addition to being a skills camp, this event will be used to train Judges, mostly to familiarize them with the new Distance Event rules. -Taking advantage of the March breezes, the new distance course will be set up downwind for select canopy pilots to make distance runs attempting to set new North Carolina, FLCPA, and U.S. Distance records. -This additional event segment will likely result in some other competitive canopy pilots stopping by to have a go at breaking some records. More to follow as this segment continues to develop . . . Arrive Safely John

  11. We are getting a LOT of interest in this event . . . lots of folks saying they are coming. We anticipated this and are prepared with two coaches - *BUT* - the only way to guarantee a slot is to pre-register. PayPal is the vehicle and the address is juan45@windstream.net We have a cap on the number of slots this event will support so you may want to finalize your plans. Arrive Safely John

  16. My Xoom is 4G LTE I have not researched the XYBoard Arrive Safely John
  17. I did a lot of homework on tablets. I wanted an Android device since I have an Android phone and I love Google stuff. I waited until the 4G LTE version was available and I'm currently using it through Verizon. I am very happy with it . . . the only issue I have had so far is that it will not download a system update, but I think it's because the update is for pay-as-you-go customers and I am on a contract. My only disappointment has nothing to do with the tablet itself . . . Android tablet version of Google Earth doesn't include the line drawing tool, which I use all the time. All in all, given the choice, I would buy the same one again. That being said, Motorola's next tablet, the XYBoard, has already replaced the Xoom. It is available in 10.1 and 8.2 screen sizes. http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Tablets/DROID-XYBOARD-by-10-1-MOTOROLA-US-EN Arrive Safely John

More to follow on that.
