Every year my home dz The canadian Skydive Center goes to skydive the Kootanys.....Amazing I love jumping in the mountains its really a rush when you start at 12500ft and around 6000ft the Mountains are going up around you while you are are free falling down. Well in my profile it doesn't say because i'm on tour right now. I cut away last year from living 5yrs in NW Calgary.Love it there! Bought a trailer and lived on the dz and worked there all summer! Didn't realize that we do get winter and cold months which ground us. And I thought I could never get grounded again....even joked to my mother...haha! I am now in OttawaOn living with the family since i haven't seen them much in the past few years. I'm here until March-April to save $$$$$$$ for my own gear too! Don't really know many people here, since my home town is Timmins ON.Not too far away from here! Year Round.......makes me sick....paradise..The anticipation of waiting is also a mess of its own! If I need it that bad like I probably will in the future i'll just have to travel more in the winter months. L4 L5 is that mid bottom of your back? Thats where mine is! Never got surgery or anything they just told me that the fluid was compressed I\ and that it might heal on its own! Nothing they could do for me! Which is probably a good thing. Did you shrink? or Grow? I feel the Bad weather coming especially in canada the cold cold days I deffinatly can predict better than the weather man! I should get paid .. hahaha Im going to dr this week i guess ill see what they have to say in Ottawa. I guess i'll start drinking more water too and see if it helps..thanx Blue Skies and Terminal Memories 4 Life

Hi and welcome. We need more sistas. Well I was tought to only listen to your JM or Insturctors/Coaches. When beer light is on and you are around the fire, you will hear all kinds of stories, don't even take it in because seeing that you are new like me we don't really understand where they are at. Different things apply to different people. Why try and change something you are doing when thats not the area you should be focused on. Well this is my opinion and seem to work very well for me. wow....no sh*t.....you are deffinatly a trooper...you don't understand how amazing i feel right now!!!!! Actually everyones stories really touched me and I needed that>>>>>I've been avoiding the doctor because if they told me i couldn't jump anymore I wouldn't accept that! Deffinatly freak out ....like in the hospital, the nurses said that skydiving was done for me!!! I freaked....they didn't like skydiving period, so they said it cold! I'll have to send a picture to them of my next jump and tell them how well i'm doing Blue Skies and Terminal Memories 4 Life

A few months ago i got in an accident "on the ground, non skydiving related" and ended up with a compressed vertibrae. Looked something like this I\ , if that makes any sense at all?! It wasn't fully compressed but enough to end the season. That was over three months ago...haven't jumped since. I do plan on jumping at the beginning of the season with dr. approval and just wondering if anyone has or knows of anyone else going through the same i am and if they have any advice or recommendations for me?! Hi Dave, I just started this year and have 19jumps. Few jumps away from my A You are so lucky to be able to jump now! I'm buying gear too this summer. As for taking chances, saftey's first and I think you should try friends out first, or even jump it before you buy it, deffinatly have a rigger or somone licenced to check it first. I trust on your home dz. I'm really new so not sure whats out there. Thats only my opinion. Have a blast!! Blue Skies and Terminal Memories 4 Life

I "was" smoking for 10yrs and I thought it would be the hardest thing to quite in the world. On Dec 21 2003 I decided I had enough. I quite cold turkey and not even sneaked a drag. I did cut down to 2 or 3 a day before I made up my mind to quite and to tell you the truth it wasn't that hard. I must admit I am very stubborn which probably helped, but i got into making hemp necklaces to keep my hands busy. I do have my moments when I shouldn't be around anyone, but I just remind myself that its just that sick, nasty, Smelly habbit creeping up and it goes away. Another thing that helped me was just taking a big breath of air, like a drag, thats when I was at the night club. Best just to stay away for a while. Hope this helps some of you cause it worked for me. Still going strong! Once you are a non smoker you realise how bad it really smells, and everything tastes better! Good luck to ya all !!!
