Well for me last weekend was the first weekend open at a new dz thats close to me now and i didn't jump!?! I compressed my vertibrae (non skydiving related) in oct and was in the hospital for 2 days and then went on with my recovery. I've been anxiously awaiting my first jump and when the time came I backed out!!!!!?????? It was new dz, new gear, new reserve procedures and a compressed vertibrae that doesn't hurt all that much. I was over loaded and now disappointed! Now my dz here is only open every two weeks and don't want this to happen again. Any advice to what you would do in this situation? I have 19 jumps with a solo certificate, working on my relative work once I get back up there. Blue Skies and Terminal Memories 4 Life

well its spring and I haven't jumped in six long months. I was in Ottawa canada but I just moved back to my home town Timmins. No big dz here but Toronto and Ottawa isn't that far away. my advice on windchill...get a big box, cut eye holes out and walk around with it over your body... it's save ya from the windchill.....to prevent wind from coming in th eye holes cover them with plastic wrap......lol..... Yup thats freaken cold.....i'm in ottawa ontario and its just as bad....just moved out here for the winter and the temp is so different....west is dry cold....east is crisp cold from all the lakes and water...brrrrrrrrr....Its all cold sh*t !!! Well actually I'm wrong, Im going to Perris Valley for New years 2003,,,,,,But plan on going to ely at some point...Does perris have an x-mas boggie, or actually i shoud check the forums first , seeing that im new here not sure what all is out there??!? Anyhow, what do you do when your not jumping out of perfectly good aircraft? -to me there not good air crafts..the door opens- Well I just landed this new job as a travel consultant, so pretty much planning my next holiday Job Rocks! Well other than work I Ski, wanna take up snow boarding,4x4 with the boys,swim,go on adventures in the city or camp depending on the weather, follow the road and see where it takes me Go out and meet new people, dance,shoot pool, hang out at the forumspretty open to new ideas don't really watch much tv...how about you??? I don't have my A licence yet I'm not far away though. In canada I have my solo licence, working on my rw.... then A....I will jump my pack job with student gear once the dz opens again.
