    Spence thinks the city of Destin could not handle the Dublin Boogie.Well if we had it in Destin it wouldn't be the Dublin Boogie any more,that won't work.But...I like the idea of beach jumps on Long Island in early summer.

    I know you ment this as a joke but in reallity you bring up a valid point.The guest of a jumper ,unless visiting to do a tandem,do not have a waiver on file at the DZ.If they are injured or killed the DZ is wide open to a lawsuit.I can tink of one instance where the DZ was saved,so far,by the fact that an individual had done a tandem in the past and there was a waiver on file.

    I had my own problem with a whuffo that was invited by a jumper.I have no problem with a jumper inviting friends as long as they understand that this is our play ground.If you don't like the way it is get the fuck out.We have started having this problem at Dublin not only with guests but locals also and we are putting alot of thought into it.Think about this when you invite someone to a boogie.

    You know that one drawer that you put everthing that you don't have a place for or you are too lazy to put it where it belongs.That drawer you always end up digging through when you are looking for batteries,safety pins,trash bag ties,ect... Right now I'm looking for the manual for my GPS and it's not in there.

    This has absolutely nothing to do with repect or lack of it toward the jumpers friends or family.It has to do with immaturity of a group of people and lack of repect toward the people in that restaurant.People mourn death everyday without offending everyone around them.I would suggest these people take a step away from BASE and skydiving until they learn to do the same or the next time someone they know goes in they go to the grocery store,buy some burgers and beer and take the mourning to a private place.I have a feeling that if they were in a private place they would have been a little more subdued as it has been my experiance in these situations people act different in public than they do in private.I have mourned the loss of many of friends without making an ass out of myself in public. As for timing,I bet the family was getting calls from the media before there was ever a name posted here.

    So thats 5 in for a trip to Skydive Long Island.I'll call up there to see when would be good for them.I'm thinking May or June.Everyone keep an eye out for a new board at RoamingDZ.com.
