It could be that you're one of those people that always needed something from everyone too. Can I bum some money ,can you give me a ride,got an extra beer? It gets old having people like that around. Billy I think we can both agree that looking at Google Earth is no way to survey a landing area. With 1700+ jumps I would not come close to considering this. To the OP. I tried as nicely as I could to let you know that this is probably not a good idea. The fact that you would even consider doing a jump into a place you have never seen from the ground kind of drives my point home. You should really think about what you are thinking about doing.

Thinking you might need to look into the laws over there first. That and the cost per jump of leasing a chopper for just you to jump. Oh and surveying the landing area for suitability.Well and to be honest(if your profile is correct) if with 24 jumps you should be doing this on your own, but since that was not your question you can disreguard that if you want. don't want to be one of those people that gives advise that wasn't asked for. I'm not sure about the true definition but I would probably say the altitude really doesn't matter. On a personal note I have done a few from around 1600ft. I don't really recommend it and you better have your head out of your ass if ANYTHING is not right. I do think that once you are qualified you should do one from 2000 ft just so you know what it's like in case of an emergency.

That's funny. We sent a new packer all over the airport one day looking for a can of that. It was funny cause when we sent him to the FBO they knew what we were doing and sent him to find the mechanic, and so on and so on. It was great.
