Andy, Is this the best you can contribute to this thread? I'll tell you what, you build an event half the size of the Dublin Boogie and I'll give you some slack when you type something in haste and don't use spell check.

That's all fine and good but I went out of my way to make sure they knew what a skydiving boogie was all about. I did not hide anything. Do you really think this is the way everything should be playing out??? I think if you were on my end you would not hold the same opinion.

There was never a thought of exception or variance. There was never mention of a proabition of alcohol on county property, by anyone, until after the accident.

I'm angry because the alcohol and party is not something that I tried to hide. It was put right out in front from the very beginning. I would have never went forward with this event without that being out in the open. Something like this is not something you build hoping that the party is not found out. The financial risk is just too great. As far as as alternative and storming away. The climate I encountered was not one of looking for alternatives and I was not really angry till the paper took the low road and compared us to a bunch of brawling drunks. In reguards to moving the party from the airport,that cost money and we would have no reason to believe that we would not be harassed where ever we moved to. I am not putting on an event so the local police can fleese my friends.

To cover a few points. This is not a case of skydivers that got out of control.This is a case of the rules changing in the middle of the game. I have not made a decision yet as far as the future of the event.I know I am unable to shoulder the financial gamble any longer. Jay, I have no idea what they mean by county sponsored.We have recieved nothing from the county unlike other events during the St. Patricks celebration.

I have not seen any of those folks in a few years.We had a get together at a bar on the south side that Billy Bob owned. TreeTop disappeared about 4 yrs ago. I think Perry still lives up in Marrietta somewhere. I'll see if I can get in touch with Tammy Tatum she might have an e-mail for some of them but I don't think any of them are jumping.

I will be giving the RV power cords that I have built for Dublin and the circuit breakers to Don. I am in no way volunteering him to hook them up. I have enough for 6 or 8 RVs. Sorry, I will not be there to hook them up this year.
