    It was good. We got there about the time you left and got home about 4:30 am. The party was still going when we left. I don't think I did anything stupid.

    I believe all the other Hurc boogies were government subsidized. That aint happening here.I thought about trying to do something at the aircrafts home base but you could never be assured that the aircraft would not be sent away for a bigger money making gig.

    The aircraft was based down on the Gulf coast but the fee was set no matter where it was. Also a C-130 burns 750 gal hr. and the fuel burn is not that much lass when on the ground, so you would not be able to load with the engines running because of cost. IMO it would take corporate sponsors to pull off a Hurc boogie today and I don't have the know how to do that.

    That's what I tell them. I try to do as many things as I can physically can. Don't expect to make them understand. Most people don't have a clue what living really is.

    That's all fine and good except when you build it people bitch about the cost. "What do I get for my registration money?" "Are we going to get free T-shirts?" "How about beer?" Why do balloon jumps cost so much?" I would not even want to know what they would say about the cost of a C-130 jump now that Jet-A costs what it does now. I looked into one once and the ferry fee was 20 grand.

    They were talking about sending a bus down to SDA after jumping is done. Don't know if that was confirmed though.

    You will have a great time. Lots of good folk there. I would love to be there but it's a 10 hr drive for me. Oh and it's cold up there right now. Maybe in the spring.

    Normally I would jump at the chance to visit a new DZ but the fact that this one started it's life happily jumping in bed with Skyride, Ben and Cary is enough to keep me away.
