    Ok kids. I went through St. Marys on the way home from Fla. and my Roaming Birthday. The town and the airport will suit our needs nicely. I will get info posted in the next day or so about hotels and such. There are places in St. Marys and also in Kingsland about 6 miles away. There is plenty of room for RVs and camping. It does not look like there will be power for RVs. I have heard a couple of people talk about bringing generators so there might be power to charge batteries.

    Jan, As I said, I made the trip solely in support of you and was thoroughly prepared to make an ass of myself in the meeting if they had done what they had wanted. It is too bad that we the members are not going to have access to the details of whatever process took place in that closed door meeting. I for one would like to know this before I vote. Sorry I did not return on Sat. I had a few things planned during this trip and quite honestly had my fill after Mr. Worth had his little out burst toward the end of the meeting. Incidentally, anyone that thinks the internet or DZ.com is a valid form of communication might think twice about voting for Mr. Worth. He surely has a poor opinion of us and see those of us seeking truth and accountability as pot stirrers. Jan, I'm glad you are still with us and I hope you run again. I also hope to see you in new company up there and will do what I can to help that cause.

    I know where you are coming from Bro. In the last 2 1/2 years I have lost 12-14 people including my father,grandfather, and several fairly close friends. The shear numbers along with the Dublin accident took a pretty bad toll on me. I have caught myself several times just sitting here with watery eyes that seem to come out of the blue.It is difficult to get through the process when another is gone before you have gotten over the last. The first of this year I told myself it was time to let go. I finally cleaned out my cell phone and made an attitude change. I'm hopeing 2008 will bring a drought to the death that has surrounded me. Hang in there it has to get better.

    Thanks everyone. I had a great weekend traveling around seeing some of my friends. I'm headed through St. Marys today to check out the airport. I'll let you know what I find.

    I can't believe no one has commented on how well I moderated myself at the meeting last night. Especially after one board member took the opportunity to blanktly offend all of the DZ.comers in the room stating that most of us were a bunch of pot stirrers that had nothing better to do with our time. After attending the meetings I'm not sure if he was talking about DZ.com or going to the meetings.

    i voted yes but would like to qualify that by saying as long as they are not posting advice to jumpers in the skydiving forums. Blah Blah Blah, I know there may be former jumpers qualified to give advice but there are also former jumpers that have been gone so long that the sport is not the same anymore.

    I got a commitment today from John Eddos of Cross Keys to supply us an Otter for the event. The airplane will be going to the Dirty Sanchez Boogie in Sebastian first and then will be coming our way on the way home.
