Bill Dause is under the chopping block!!
CSpenceFLY replied to ts1962's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Chris, it still would not be the pilots fault. IF the pilot violated a FAR or something in the POH, then they could be found liable. Sure, there ARE bad jump pilots, and if there are shouldn't the DZO just fire them? What is right isn't always legal and what is legal is not always right. There are aircraft that are highly probable to have a tail strike in a climb if someone exits wrong. Let me rephrase my position If I were the pilot of a Beech 99 or the DZO that was using one, I would not allow people to exit the aircraft while in a climb. PERIOD!!! It is not worth the danger to the people on board or the possible damage to the aircraft. This is not something up for debate. It is my position on this subject. -

We are not talking about an Otter. I know I left myself open for an argument by not being specific. -

As I recall,in regards to my Monroe example, everyone was raising hell about the pilot when someone almost hit the tail there. -

I have never done a hop and pop from a climbing 99, but I have a lot of them out of 182's and 206's with no problems. It sounds like something that can been done safely if the jumpers exit correctly. Am I wrong with this assumption? As a pilot I would not bet the lives of the rest of the people on the load or the well being of the aircraft on whether someone will exit correctly, to save a buck or two on fuel. -

I would not have nice words for a pilot that made a habit of putting people out of a climbing airplane. The pilot at Monroe use to do that until I asked him if I should call George to see if that was proper procedure. He didn't do it anymore. -
Not a new stunt. Chris Gay did it years ago.

None of those threads were in the top 5 of anything when I bumped them. As I said in my response to your PM it was done because I thought it was funny and thought 3 of those thread needed to be locked. If it's not a problem to have 4 threads running on the same topic I don't see why it is a problem to have them all on the first page. Why is bumping a thread such a big fucking problem anyway? Anyway, it doesn't matter. You're the man. Keep doing what your doing. You're doing a great job. You have accomplished alot today in what is the new bonfire. Just remember, it's as stupid for me to get upset about this as it is for you to get upset about bumping a thread. I'm done here now.

In what I thought was funny I bumped all of the cross wind landing threads all together thinking that maybe the mods didn't know there were 4 of them and maybe they might want to lock, oh I don't know, maybe 3 of them. Instead I get a warning that if I continue to do this I will be banned. You know what, Big Fucking Deal. Looks like you can't even have a since of humor here anymore. Y'all enjoy yourselves.

If there was another runway to choose from they should both be removed from the cockpit

Man, y'all are pushing the limits today. -
Exactly, I have refuse ATC instructions on several occasions
-
That's all fine and good however if I were the pilot and there were another runway to choose from it never would have gone that far. Hero is not the first word that come to my mind to describe the pilot.

I sorry but your attitude and potty language does not fit into the guidelines of the new bonfire. Please adjust accordingly.

But does it not also imply that those assholes could have turned into people I might like? Anything is possible.

What he is saying is just because you liked someone does not mean that they are not an asshole now.
