18 yrs this month and we dated for 5yrs. Damn, that's a long time. I think it is working for us because we love each other. Also we are a bit older then the Me Me Me generation.Alot of people today change partners as easy as ISPs or cell providers. There have been some hard times but we learned to communicate and we learned that we can disagree about things and still love one another.

It would be interesting to see a US map marked to show states that do and don't have DZ that accept Skyride. -
That is exactly what is going on. The coaches rating has been sold as a way for 100 jump wonders to have someone pay for their jumps.

Any of the smaller events I did. Bolingbroke Boogies(Who knows what that is?), Perry,Ga, Harvest Moon '04, Mountain Boogie '04(Andrews,NC), Dublin '05 (the last one that didn't have assholes), Skyfest '05, WFFC '05, Ten rounds of clean video at nationals(forget what year,'03 or '04 I think), '06 and '07 is a blur to me. I know I had some fun leading up to the accident in '07 but after my father and grandfather died 6 months apart I kind of fell apart.

Sorry to be a dick here but it's just what I do. In 7 months you have not been able to make it to a DZ or scrape together the money to do a tandem?? There are two great sources for info. One is the movie Point Break. The other is the movie Fandango. That should give you everything you need. -
Thanks Spence. I know the BSRs, However I was referring specifically to the farm in my previous post. I am pretty sure that any competent experienced jumper would be allowed to jump with a non-licenced jumper that has cleared AFF at The Farm. Man, that is one hell of a qualifying statement.

I gotta know something. 2 skydivers. 1 highly skilled and trained jumper with 2000 jumps. 1 skydiver with 150 jumps that pulled off the coach rating. Are both people allowed to jump with him or just the 150 jump coach? Depends on the dropzone. Going by the BSRs either could jump with him if the DZ approves the 2000 jump guy.

First things first, start a grass roots campaign to vote out all the town council fuckers who kicked us out. While Billy is right about Dublin needing a new set of county commissioners, they didn't kick us out. When talks started for '08 they simple had too many new guidelines. I had no reason to believe that the skydivers would not be harrassed by the police,as someof that had already taken place. I decided not to put my friends in that position. To my knowledge there was never a problem between the police and a skydiver and no skydivers were ever arrested in the city of Dublin or Laurens County. They reacted to a perceived problem and ruined what was turning into a world class event.

i didn't say it was of no use. The program was implimented poorly and it has hurt the sport by causing people that can't afford to pay someone to jump with them on every jump to get bored and leave the sport.

come to Skydive Atlanta and let me know when you're coming. I'll jump with you for free. I'm not a shit hot coach but with 30 jumps I can probably teach you something. To whoever asked, yes I was commenting about paid coached jumps. I most cases they are a waste of money. The program was brought about by DZOs on the board to help pad their bottom line and supplement the DZ staff.

It's a damn shame people are having to jump by themselves. We need to abandon the coaches rating and the current atmosphere in our sport. Come to Georgia, people will jump with you.
