I just hope you realize that there are people (not all) actually in the mindset of having kids or "borrowing" dependents to get this, as well as the max income per year to get the max EIC they can get. I meant no offense, but most of the people here work hard to get where they are at. I assure you that none of those $6K-$11k a year income people would be skydiving. they simply blow away their $4000 refund in a car or something very expensive, instead of wisely choosing something that would help them get out of the hole they are in. I still help them, but it is the mentality that they tend to even stop working when they reach certain income a year for the fear they won't get more food stamps, freebies and a big fat check. Simply put the goal is to keep working enough so they don't go over the limits where these benefits stop. It happens, and even with people with 3 or 4 kids, that made $11000 can get even a fatty check for $3K.
