  1. What are those ACTUAL odds? From what I see there is a 1% lifetime risk. That includes a LOT of cultural assumptions. From Googles AI: The lifetime risk of dying from a firearm in the United States is about 1%. However, the risk varies depending on factors like race and location:
  2. I imagine you liked the echo chamber a lot more.
  3. I wonder who that sounds like: in 1970 we were going to run out of oil in 50 years in 1980 - They said NYC would be under water by 1990 In 1990 - They said Miami would be under water by 2000 In 2000 - they said the world would be unihabitable by 2010 . . . . see a pattern here?
  4. I'd love to see the answer to this. @Jerry, what say you? Are you going to answer?
  5. I keep answering this. You are boring for the repeated same question. The answer is, "No more than you." So, yes, yes I do.
  6. I asked before - what is definition of "very few"? https://newrepublic.com/article/125498/its-time-ban-guns-yes-them https://www.vpc.org/studies/unsafe.htm https://nwcitizen.com/entry/ban-all-firearms/category/C50 https://advocate.jbu.edu/2023/02/09/please-just-ban-guns-already for a start anyway.
  7. No - They have brains and intelligence. They understand what point I'm trying to get accross to a closed minded person. Anyway, when do you think you've demonstrated openmindedness here? I'll let the student perform his own homework on that one. You've never even admitted that Trump was being a dangerous moron over his covid bleach comments that you so staunchly defended. Do you know the measurable definition of moron? Can you prove that applies to Trump? OH - were you just childishly namecalling again? Wow how open minded and mature of you. It should be the easiest thing possible to admit for an openminded person, why not try walking the walk for once before this place is gone? Should it be? Really? Why havent you ever walked back a single opinion then. OH that's right - Jakee is never wrong. I must have forgotten.
  8. The college already has basics, right? What Humanity classes are needed to be forced on someone? Why does that get added to the curriculum cost? If demanded by the dean, the college should offer those classes gratis.
  9. There is no "Live and Let Live" with them. You must think like them. They are, after all,193% right in their own minds.
  10. Thats amusing. Can you cite even one instance where you changed your mind, and allowed that the conservatives were correct?
  11. All? Umm - Yeah, ALL that are posting here. This place devolved into an extreme left echo chamber. That's one reason why so many departed.
  12. There's nothing quite like forced indoctrination, is there?!!
  13. Oh yu mean th grammer ant spelings mitakes. <Shrug> Sometimes I care more than others to spend time correcting. I've never been a very good typist. I've also sometimes lacked in remembered spellings. What difference, at this point, does it make?
  14. You mean like John Kallend? I don't have anything against the English, personally. Some of my best friends were English.
  15. Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous new year, Mark.
  16. and the echo chamber of lovers of the left keep going like an energizer bunny. I wonder, do you guys speak to your colleagues like this when you dislike them, or is it just becasue you are sepoerated from their presence, or consequesnses of doing that. The misplaced contempt and condescention. Wow. Like my 3 year old grandson when you tell him "No."
  17. Sounds like a worthwhile mission.
  18. I believe that the withdrawl should have been better managed and taken a LOT more seriously.
  19. I have come to the understanding that Afghanistan was never going to be "winable". I also understand, or rather, believe that even though there were some horrible things going on in Iraq, the majority of that was a resource battle. I think the issues were grown and encouraged.
  20. I am nowhere near the only open minded person here. Im just the only one that posts against you.
  21. I saw my sister, her husband, and my neices, well, and Col. EH Taylor. Mom and Her hubby were there. My wife and I and the nieces boyfriends. Played the saran wrap game (Ball of prizes wrapped up in saran wrap where you have to disassemble while wearing oven mits. Timed by doubles on the dice.)
