Lou...what program do you use to edit your videos? I use Pinnacle StudioDV 8 and you can drag and drop MP3 files. Once the MP3 is on the sound layer, you can work on the volume level (to fade out) and cut whenever you want. Hey...ho...let's go!

Hello! I use Nero Wave Editor (comes with Nero5 package)...you can fade out the track whenever you want. The only problem i found so far is that you have to work with the file as .wav (35+ MB) and then save it as MP3. Blue skies! Hey...ho...let's go!

Hello! My advice would be: take both opinions from your instructors. The decision to cutaway or attempt to resolve any malfunction involves many factors...mostly how high you are and how much time do you have to try to resolve it with safety. Don't forget the "Two attempts" golden rule, ok?

Hello! I don't know if you're talking about Zenitar Lenses (Russia)...they're very cheap and weights no more than 0.4 Kg... Does anyone tried those? What's the feedback? Take a look at the site Hey...ho...let's go!

Adding a UV Filter on my old Kenko 0.42x made me get rid of the black corners without using the zoom... But now I got the X-Dream Optics...no "vignette" problems at all. Cheers, Hey...ho...let's go!

Hey Doug! Just a suggestion: 1. If you're going to use this camera for skydiving only, why would you need a case for? 2. I would go for a FM50...but it depends on the camera box you're going to use. I use a FM50 and it's ok for a full day skydiving. 3. I thought AC/DC chargers would come standard with the camera... I think that's why you found it so cheap. 4. My PC9 came with a 4MB Memory Stick...i don't use it anyway. This goes for the adapter too. 5. Protect your lens is a must. But try Ebay...you can find a set of three filters (UV, FD and PL) for less than $30. Blue skies! __________________________________________________ Hey...ho...let's go!

Stupid Student tricks....
AlvaroCarvalho replied to Nightingale's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Well, there i was on my second ASL jump...everything went out fine on the exit and deployment but, after my check i noticed that my chest strap was kinda loose so the altimeter turned over and was facing my chest...i couldn't read nothing at all. I wasn't aware that i could let go the toggles and fix that so, there i was with both hands up and trying to grab the altimeter with my mouth.... Of course i couldn't do that, so i landed fine following the radio. Blue skies!! __________________________________________________ Hey...ho...let's go! -
I see that most camera boxes have four screw points to attach on the helmet...how do you change the angle of the camera? I don't think it will make any difference to me since i use a 0.3x wide angle lens... Blues skies!! __________________________________________________ Hey...ho...let's go!

AlvaroCarvalho replied to AlvaroCarvalho's topic in Photography and Video

Head positioning on deployment
AlvaroCarvalho replied to AlvaroCarvalho's topic in Photography and Video
Hello all! I was wondering...what should be the best head positioning to camera-flyers on deployment? - Look over the right shoulder: this would protect a left side box and the camera-flyer would also be able to follow the deployment sequence; - Look down; - Fix the horizon. - ...? I would appreciate any comments and suggestions on this matter. Blue skies! Hey...ho...let's go!
