  1. Hey everyone. I hope this doesn't offend or annoy anyone. I'm racing in a triathlon with a group called Team In Training to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. 75 cents of every dollar raised goes to the Society and is used for things like program services, research, patient and community services, advocacy, and educational outreach. The other quarter goes to administrative cost of running the Team In Training organization. I wanted to ask if anyone would like to help me and the LLS out. If so, you can go to the website listed below. There is more information on the site. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Zach www.active.com/donate/tntntx/tntntxZCallaw
  2. Obvisously its so if Iran nukes Israel, we can nuke them 5,735 times. Kidding aside though, Arab anitsemitism is unreal, and as "agressive" as Bush is, he's yet to call for the complete destruction of a country and its people.
  3. Thanks for the replies guys...look up in the skys....don't tell lies. Anyway, thanks. "Knowing" that I was the last one down, I'm pissed at myself now for not having expected the unexpected. Guess it's the one that allways kicks your ass huh. Appreciate it Bill. Zach

Should have done that first. Thanks. Zach

    Mini Risers

What are the advantages and/or disadvantages to having mini risers? Thanks Zach
  6. If you're are the last one down, there is no wind, and you're not going to smack into anyone gathering their parachute, what are the dangers with landing parallel to everyone else's base leg? This question is asked with the understanding of the importance and with the understanding of the reasons why the left-hand box pattern is used. Thanks for taking the time. Zach
  7. So then, I should buy TWO lottery tickets tonight. Thanks guys.

    What's a carve

Think I have an idea, but don't want to be ignorant about it. Thanks Zach
  10. No. It was merely an observation. If I say that the Nazis were efficient at killing Jews, I'm not lieing, but that doesn't mean I'm promoting what they did or saying that the next time someone wants to commit genocide, that they should take a page out of the Nazis book, does it? Think!
  11. Seemed to have worked out allright for the Vietcong.
  12. I think we're just talking about a matter of time. Tragedy + Time equal Comedy. Guarantee you that in 50 years you'll have heared a 9/11 joke or two.
  13. J.F.K. ended up on the wrong end of a few bullets.
  14. Sorry man. Like I said just a question. If I never asked questions I'd walk through life ignorant. Didn't mean to come off like a schmuck. Sometimes it's enlightening to take a few steps against the flow. Have a good one.
  15. I'm sort of just playing the Devil's advocate here, but I'm curious: So do those of you that think it should be a day off think that it should become a national holiday, to be observed every year? If so why not a holiday for other "tragedies"? For instance November 22? Granted that was just one man and this was a few thousand, but does that mean their lives were more worthy of being remembered? Just a question, not looking to upset anyone.

    W. Bush and Iraq

It's for a class I'm taking. Actually looking for informed opinions, so if you aren't really current on the issue, or if you just think I'm a jack ass for bringing this here, then you don't gotta answer. Sorry if I'm ruining the mood of the board with this post. I appreciate any responses...other than silly shit like "nuke the fuckers" or anything like that, so thanks. Zach

    Olympic Hockey.

No offence (sort of) cause I dig the Canadian players as much as the next hockey fan, but Joseph is playing goal like Sylvester Stalone in Victory.

    Olympic Hockey.

All I'm saying is that for being such a monsterous (size-wise) team, Canada sure played pretty crappy D on that second goal.
  19. I'm cursious what the difference between the punishments for "hate" crimes, and 1st degree murder, cause aren't they really the same. I mean, if someone says "If I ever see a cracker ass cracker, I'm gonna kill him!!!" isn't that premeditated? I'm not real current on the issue, but I don't think that whoever came up with the idea of charging people specifically with "hate" crimes was saying that the victims life is worth more if a hate crime was commited against them rather than if they were just offed for no good reason. But I agree with the fact that the reason someone killed someone shouldn't matter....murder is murder, right? I mean it sucks, but you can only execute them once. Vanna white does have a nice ass, or she did the last time I watched Wheel of Fortune in like 1989 or something.
  20. I agree with the fact that being a cop doesn't make you a dick. But it sticks in peoples minds more when cops are shitty to you, because they're supposed to be these "do gooders" and crap, but they're just people doing a job that sometimes blows. That being said, I'm curious about something: When you get stopped at a speed trap (speed trap being the key here as opposed to a cop just seeing you do some shit wrong) where there's a cop in the middle of the street, just over a hill, motioning for you to pull over next to the other ten cars that got pulled over, it's fairly obvious you're getting a ticket. I mean they're not going to pull all these people over just to say "Thought I would let all you guys know you were speeding, and I would appreciate it if you would slow her down a smidge." So, my question is, in this instance, why does he ask me if I'm in a hurry? I mean, hell, are you gonna let me go if I say yeah, I've gotta take a wicked shit? You know, we as speeders shouldn't bullshit the cops around, because they've heared it all before, and we did after all speed, but do we really have to be patronized like that? And by the by, I understand that maybe he is asking if I have an emergency, but I think I would be going a little faster than 58 in a 45 if I was having an emergency.
  21. Those sick notes were funny as hell. The one where they found the Sunday paper on Monday and thought it was Sunday was my favortie I think. I don't think people as absent minded as that should be raising kids. Thanks for the post. :-)
  22. ...so CLEARLY...I cannot choose the glass in front of ME!!!
  23. when i said pissed, i meant urinated....figured it might be missunderstood, but was too lazy to reword it
  24. I lived in London for six months, and I understand most of it, but what's a toss? As in "You f-ing toss!" I was on my way home from work on the night bus (which is always eventful, if you've ever takin it) and this dude got all pissed off at someone else, and called him a toss....I think it was because he was drunk, and pissed in the back of the buss, and it got on this guys jacket or something. So, anyway...

    Now I get it!!!

Can I say "Tis but a flesh wound..." or is that too easy. Let's play the same game with the Goonies, and I'm in. "Why don't we just pour chocolate on the floor and let Chunk EAT his way through!!!???"
