I guess all in all it hasn't been too bad. Lots of laughter and a few tears. I've loved and lost, but have managed to learn from those experiences. I haven't jumped as much as I would like to, but the jumps I've made have been awesome and keep me hungry for more. I have my health, a supportive family and friends. I consider myself very fortunate to be where I am today.

I just got the phone call. A friend of mine lost her battle with cancer today. She fought a long hard battle, but in the end the disease won. With hugs, tears, and laughter we tried to beat this demon together. Each time I saw her, she greeted me with a hug and a smile. What a sweet smile. She had decided that when she got better she'd do a tandem. We were so looking forward to that day, which will never come now. The other night when I saw her, she knew what was coming and she looked at me and told me she'd be okay. Her body was failing and she was trying to comfort me. What an amazing woman. I consider myself blessed to have called her "friend". With the holiday season here, I just want you to remember to love each other.
