I, too, took possesion of a 1989 Talon this weekend. My rigger claims I punt the Vint in vintage. I had a 1980 Racer with exposed risers I've been jumping. He doesn't like packing my Racer, and he had a buddy with an unused Talon sitting in the closet. We worked a good deal - traded reserves and I got the container for free. The reserve is better suited for my size than what I've been jumping. I'm jumping a borrowed main until the bridle on mine gets modified to go into the new rig. A former coworker sent me this announcement of the creation of a new holiday. Sounds good to me. New holiday for Guys Every 14th of February men get the chance to display fondness for their wife or girlfriend by showering her with gifts, flowers, dinner, shows and any other baubles that women find romantic. Every Valentines Day you rack your brains for that one special, unique gift that will show your wife or girlfriend that you really love them more than anything. Now ladies, I'll let you in on a little secret.... guys really don't enjoy this that much. Sure seeing that smile on your face when we get it right is priceless, but that smile is the result of weeks of blood, sweat and consideration. Another secret.... guys feel left out. That's right..... left out. There's no special holiday for the ladies to show their appreciation for the men in their life. Men as a whole are either too proud or just too embarrassed to admit it. Know any teachers? cjhck out Apple's site and click on the education links to see prices. Then find a teacher. Some colleges offer deep discounts on software, too. I recently got MS Office for OSX for $27 thought the local community college connection I have. I love my MAC, moreso than the Compaq provided at work. Jumping rounds in Snohomish. I remember one jump landing backwards and smacking my head, temporariily dazed. Before I knew it, I'm being dragged across the field. Roll over to get to my feet and can't get up. Wearing a wart, and now I'm making a furrow in the field. Upcoming irrigation canal, and I don't get cut away before that, so it's down into the ditch and back up the other side before I could get to the capewell. The pilot said he could see the furrow really well. I had mud caked everywhere. And Deb, Grubb landed in one of the manure holding pits once. He smelled for a long time after that. Vint . . . . .
