Weird. I'm loading at about 1.06, and while I use to have off heading openings, I haven't have closed end cells since fir first few jumps. Really good info, thanks kimgriffin! Did PD give you an idea of when a new manual might be available? Though I'd post another update to, still putting a fold in the nose, and making sure the nose cells a neat. Only off heading opening was when I forgot to do anything to the nose. Its kinda funny to remember what you forget to do while packing while you wait for your canopy to finish its 360 degree dive. “- - Sumo is the greatest of sports. I hear you. I'm in the same situation as you packing a Sabre2 150, and its hell. Nevertheless, it will get easier over time. Until then, there may not be much you can do. You might have really good technique, but it takes experience to pack a new canopy. You just learn to use anything to hold it together, where to put however much pressure, etc. I can only suggest what I've been doing. Try to pack it until you are about to kick the canopy, and then ask for someone for help. Hopefully, you'll be able to find someone who was once in your position and had to ask for help packing a new canopy when they were a newbie. Only thing is, next newbie who gets a new canopy they can't pack, it would be your turn to help them. “- - Sumo is the greatest of sports. It has power, grace, speed and cluture. That's what I use to think, then I watched the PD packing video I was sent when I talked to someone at PD about the opening problem. On the video they folder the 4 outer nose cells in half, beside the center cell, which was left alone. I've never tried this, but I will next weekend.
