  1. These girls do a hell of a show an all female group that rocks. Thier a local Seattle band but the actually tear it up. http://www.hellsbelles.info/
  2. Check out hawaiifabricmart.com they should have everything you desire.
  3. What about the man who just jumped off the ESB commiting sucide only days ago with his severed leg landing on the side walk. It should only be fair that the operator take up a law suit against the family and survivors of this victim. Or maybe he didnt "damage the buildings reputation as a safe venue". Either way it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.
  4. Thanks i thought i got it, guess not
  5. this is one of my favorite shots. it looks really close. "http://www.airtanker.com/gallery/t16.html"
  6. As a jump pilot I have absolutley no problem doing a go around when it is needed. It dosent bother me one bit and the extra minute or so that it takes is not really that big a deal. But I have been extemley pissed when Ive had only 6 people in the caravan and I got some yahoo telling me to go back around.
  7. There is a huge sense of loyalitly between the blm and fs jumpers for the equipment they use. if you asked one from either organization who had the best equipment they both would have the same answer. Jumpers are also mobile resources. They will move from one jump base to another as conditions dictate even if its Blm land or FS land. Its also common for thier to be mixed loads of squares and rounds in the same plane. and from the last news i heard the fs is trying to develop a system for its own jumpers using the squares. and for anybodys info i spent 5 years working for the blm as a hotshot, i missed my chance to be a jumper when i got a stress fracture on my tiba after day 5 of rookie training.
  8. Ive done about 55 hours of hard larbor on a wildland fire. Going from 100 degrees plus during the day down to the 40's at night out in the nevada desert. We got to finish the whole ordeal off with a nice 3 hour hike out. Ahhhhh the good old days
  9. Ill deffinatley will. I'll also try and take some photos too. I'll should be in town for some of the arrivals, I might stay an extra day or two after my shift to take part of the madness that will be Nome.
  10. Ill be looking out for your sisters arrival in Nome. I am working there right now, and the iditarod is the talk of the town. This will be the 1st time I get to see them finish the race, from what I hear things are gonna get a little out of hand as the population of nome almost doubles and the bars stay open all night.
  11. I am currently jumping a jonathan 170, it came with my rig when i bought it. It had about 200 jumps on it. I almost replaced it with something newer with out ever jumping it. I am glad i didnt. its actually a very nice canopy to fly, the openings are great and the landings nice. I have no complaints and plan on jumping it for still some time. You just might like it. I'd say its at least worth giving it a jump.
  12. Anchorage to San Diego, then back home via Airzona, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho back to Washington. All done on my motorcycle. It was around 7500 miles
  13. Sundevils right both places are right next door to one another, its kinda hard to pick and choose one so I'd try em both. For accomdation the north shore is pretty undeveloped. The only resort I can think of is Turtle bay about 30 to 40 mins away. Thier is also a hostel right by Waimea bay its not that bad of a place, about 15 minuets away. Staying in downtown Honolulu might be a better option since it has more options for hotels, eating and nightlife. Regardeless of where U stay, you'll love it.
  14. Just finished The sun also rises by ernest hemingway, now I am reading the Tropic of Cancer by henry miller
  15. Last month I waited 4 1/2 hours in the ER. My dad finally called a hospital 20 mins down the road and they said I could walk right in. The price for waiting 4 1/2 with no services renderd $270. The price for cat scan and stitches at hospital #2, $3000. We eventually got the $270 bill droped. And they even gave us a break at the 2nd hospital and it came out to ONLY be $1700 bucks. I made a decision not to get hurt anymore after that.
