    Olav?

Have you been to Europe and seen some of what is going on over there? I was blown away by some of the things they are doing. The Funkflyz from Denmark are absolutely incredible and Aria and Babylon are probably two of the top three freefly teams in the world. I thought freeflying was starting to get a bit stale, but going to Europe this summer really got my juices flowing again. Its going to be an interesting World Champioships next month!
  2. Hey everybody. One more week until the 2nd Annual NorCal Freefly Festival. There will be freefly and belly load organizing, free canopy coaching with PD rep Vladi Pesa, packing and swoop seminars by PD, a pajama party Saturday night, the NorCal Swoop & Chug Champioship, the "Wheel of Carnage!", video presentation each night and a special, mind-blowing big screen presentation on Saturday night. Here is a schedule of events for the weekend. HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL THERE!!! Bob, Ryan and Sharky Team Jank

  4. We (Team Jank) had nothing to do with the planning or preparation of the American Boogie. We will be using multiple State-of-the-art projectors on a 20' x 11' screen. A portion of the presentation has all been shot in 16x9 so there should be some pretty cool stuff to see.
  5. Team Jank and Bomber Freefly suites are hosting the 2nd annual NorCal Freefly Festival at Skydance Skydiving in Davis, California, over Labor Day weekend (Aug 29 - Sep 1). Last years event had over 150 freeflyers in attendance and this year promises to be bigger and better. The Casa will be back and there will be two Caravans as well. There will be load organizing everyday with Team Jank, Guano Freefly Team and Roger Ponce. There will be big screen video presentations every night and a very special video presentation on Saturday night on the biggest screen NorCal Skydiving has ever seen. Saturday night will also feature the debut of the "Wheel of Carnage" where you can win prizes or drink exotic drinks from around the world. Don't miss what promises to be one hell of a boogie. More details will be coming over the next week. Hope to see you there!

  7. What an awesome idea! This is one event I will not miss. I remember watching the first MTV special Rob and Joe did while I was going through AFF and I knew that even though I was scared shitless at the time, there was something magical up there once you got past the fear. He always looked like he was having so much fun!
  8. There will be plenty of camping area if you bring a tent. There are showers on the dz as well. The night jumps will be on Friday until midnight. Sacramento is the closest major airport, but Oakland and San Francisco are about an hour away. It is going to be a great boogie again this year, so hopefully you can make it. If you need any help or any more info, let me know (bob@aquaprix.com). Bob Team Jank www.teamjank.net
  9. The dates are April 24-27. $25.00 boogie fee. Hotel and campground are right on the beach where you land. Not as luxurious as San Carlos, but much cheaper since you can drive from Phoenix. Had a great time last year and can't wait to get down there again. Contact Dawn Rae Hogue for more info (dawnrae420@yahoo.com). It looks like there will be a large group of NorCal Freeflyers there this year. Bob Ash Team Jank
  10. Although the plane would be new in the US, the design is based on a plane that has been used for skydiving in Australia and New Zealand for years. The new plane is basically a Cresco that has been redesigned for skydiving purposes. The Cresco is one of the most widely used cargo planes in Australia and New Zealand, and it has proven to e quite a reliable workhorse. The PAX-750 is the first plane that I've heard of that has been designed and tested for skydiving. I know that, among many other tests, they did a lot crash-testing to find the safest seatbelt configuration for skydivers. On thier webpage you can see some pictures of these tests and all of the test dummies are wearing freefly suits. What's up with that?
  11. Does anyone know what the dates are for the Rocky Point Boogie this year? I know its usually in April.
  12. On October 25-27, Team Jank and Skydance Skydiving will be hosting the first annual Northern California Freefly Festival. We will have a Casa and a Caravan. On Saturday night we will be showing special video presentations by Evan Mortimore, Kurt Issel, Guano and Team Jank, all on a huge screen. There will be special events/competitions throughout the weekend and freefly load organizing by Guano and Team Jank. Roger Ponce will also be here to keep the belly fliers entertained. The theme of the boogie is a tribute to the originators of the NorCal freefly scene. So, come out, make some jumps, make some friends and celbrate(?) the end of the season!
