  1. Severe cases of all of the above lead to immediate and complete pain-free shock, which lasts long enough for you to either die or get help. The exception is starvation, which easily takes the cake in this poll. . . =(_8^(1)

If you mean it's blood for oil in terms that maintaining mideast stability equals a continued supply of cheap crude (as mikkey phrased it to me), then I'll agree that's part of the equation, and justifiably so. . . =(_8^(1)

Will look into this for myself, thanks for the info. . . =(_8^(1)
  4. Yea, I agree. It's the posters on here that use name calling as a substitue for actual brain power that are really entertaining . . . NOT. Brilliant commentary like -- "Hey all you conservative wanker yankers, when's your next KLAN meeting" really adds to the mix, don't you think? . . =(_8^(1)

Yes, I've been pointing this out for a while now. The grip of the big three broadcast networks and major papers has been slipping away thanks to cable and internet. We can all have our news flavored any way we want now, but the smarter of us gather from all around. Is that true? You are saying Bush stood there and lied through his teeth at that address? I disagree. A threat to stability in the mideast is a threat to the west. If you want to believe Hussein wasn't a threat to that stability, go right ahead. I don't think I'll personally ever regret us taking Hussein down despite the uh . . . sticky wicket we seem to be in for the moment. I think you liberals are being a bit short-sighted here, expecting such quick results, casualty-free operations, etc. That's not factually correct; the story isn't told yet. A lot of opportunity existed for Hussein to hide both himself and his weapons (if they still existed), and he played those cards well, so far. However, the story is still being written. Let's refrain from writing the epilogue just yet, k? I was looking at the latest CBS poll that gives him 52% positive favorable rating, 39% disapprove. His ratings are sinking, but still higher than any president at this point in a long, long time (except for Daddy, of course). But, look what happened to Daddy. . . =(_8^(1)

Man, sorry, but I have no idea what you are trying to say. Can you give me an example of what you mean? I'm further lost. What you actually wrote was that the growing number of body bags would prove that Bush and company are full of shit, no matter how FOX and Friends tries to spin it. I then asked you to explain what the number of deaths has to do with it. Yea, it's all about stealing oil and revenge for "daddy". Sigh. Or maybe to believe that was the strategy/motivation is naive? We agree in part on this. Like Rummy said the other day, why would they need to use back door diplomacy when the front door was wide open? . . =(_8^(1)

Holy shit! You have facts that demonstrate there is no left wing bias in American media? Please present them and end the ongoing controversy! Nonsense. Please explain how the number of casualties relates to or determines the rightness or wrongness of this war. Sure there was a plan -- and it is being carried out now. I think there have been some misjudgmnets along the way, but all in all we are still on the right path. There may have been mistakes made with intelligence, but I am not aware of any deliberate distortion. Are you? He had them. He used them on a million people. And he jerked around weapons inspectors for years because he had nothing to hide, right? Hardly. I certainly am not thrilled about everything the Bush administration has done, particularly in regards to foreign diplomacy, but I'll probably vote for him again -- and I'm still in the majority! . . =(_8^(1)

As you've stated yourself, being a capitalist doesn't preclude you from also being a liberal, so what's your point? If that's true, there are some mighty smart idiots out there. . . =(_8^(1)

CNN has indeed toned down the leftist spin since realizing a year or two ago they were spinning themselves right out of the cable market. Very un-amazingly, commercial enterprises like CNN will choose survival over political influence every time. . . =(_8^(1)

I'm no expert on the history of national governments, but as long as Man is governing Man, the US system of goverment has to be about as good as it can get. I'll make my case by simply refering to our rise to the top in just 200 short years. Our two party system rocks -- it causes enough gridlock to keep us steady, while still allowing room for obviously needed changes (women's rights, ending of slavery, etc.). Throw in the Constitution, and you have nirvana, well maybe not . . . . . =(_8^(1)

  16. My wife and I work for the same mega-corp just a few doors down from each other. Therefore, we long ago established a rule NOT to talk about work once we get home unless it is absolutely necessary. As every skydiver knows, there is much more to life than work.
  17. What evidence can you provide that Bush or any of his administration subscribe to Boyer's views about fundementalists with "end times syndrome"? Here's a small refute to some of your usual poorly punctuated spewage; don't have the desire to really dig in: John Ascroft's wife is a law professor at Washington University, and a very outspoken professor at that. Please tell us how this fits in with your view that Ashcroft and his kind support "putting women back in the kitchen where they belong"? Can you say "fantasyland"? I knew ya could.
