It is great to expect that respect but sucks when you really don't see it. I'm sure you have been in that situation so what do you do? I try to live my life as a sincere and honest person in every relationship or friendship I find myself in. I do my best to disregard disrespect but make an effort to avoid/ignore the person from then on. It is very very rare for me to seek any kind of revenge (not really the right word).
