  1. In the particular time, circumstances and established objectives of the first Gulf War, Cheney's words were well within the parameters of the political objectives. Much different set of circumstances after 2001. Cheney was not talking about circumstances he was talking about the outcome of an invasion. Are there different types of invasions?
  2. Its understandable that you are desperate to find someone else to blame. I know if I had voted for someone who's chain of epic blunders lead to the collapse of a country, the death of 5000 US troops and the rise of ISIS in Iraq, I too would want to blame everyone else. As a candidate, Bush was clearly a person of limited ability, but you all wanted someone you could "drink a beer with". Well, you got your wish and you now have the blood of 5000 dead US troops on your hands. Something to be proud of I suppose? Elections have consequences. Perhaps you've figured that out by now. So what do we do now? Personally, I would like to see everyone of those ISIS bastards dead, but I'm not about to enlist. Two things are clear however, 1) there are no good options, and 2) you're going to blame Obama no matter what he does because you can never admit you were as wrong as Bush was.
  3. Ahem...They're. BTW...Barry doesn't get a pass on this one. He was warned by a bunch of senior military that this would be the result. He chose to ignore it. It was pretty clear to almost everyone that Iraq would implode when the US left. Even Cheney knew it back in '94. Failure was likely even before the invasion, and the botched occupation guaranteed it. Not to mention Bush agreed to the withdrawal of all combat forces by the end of 2011 - that pesky SOFA you keep forgetting about. So what was the alternative ... to stay for 1 more year, 5 more years, 10 more years? During the 8 years we were in Iraq, 4491 US troops were killed. How many more US soldiers did you want to die for country that would not fight for itself or saw the US as the enemy. Please give us the number of dead US soldier that you would find acceptable. One thousand more, five thousand more? Please give me a number so we all know your level of commitment to a failed policy. And what if one of those deaths were you, your son, your daughter, your good friend, your neighbor - not a problem, right - just keep 'em coming?
  4. You seem to be forgetting about that pesky Status of Forces Agreement that Bush negotiated and signed with the Prime Minister of Iraq, Nuri al-Maliki, which stated that all U.S. forces will be completely out of Iraq by December 31, 2011. BTW, Bush installed Maliki and he wanted the US out. Lets not rewrite history people. Bush is responsible for the current mess in Iraq. He invaded a country that was not threat to the US. Furthermore, he botched the war by not planning for the occupation, installing a revengeful partisan hack for a prime minister, and for the De-Ba'athification of the country which put most of the Sunnis out of work who, in part, morphed into ISIS. Could Obama have re-negotiated the SFA? Maybe, but why should he? If Iraqis want fight for their country why should our troops. Lastly, I didn't see any of you chicken-hawks enlisting to go fight in Iraq or wherever. If you want to blame anyone for the mess in Iraq blame the fucking idiots who voted for Bush. It was no secret that Bush was not the brightest bulb before the 2000 election.
  5. Since we are playing this game. Remember this...Cheney '94: Invading Baghdad Would Create Quagmire https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BEsZMvrq-I
  6. Not much daylight between you and ISIS, is there?
  7. Everyone knows that the only true way to show that you love your country is to send in US troops to fight and die in an unnecessary war.
  8. Another data point. Data show that gun ownership does confer greater safety. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=d5c_1424394365 It looks like the pharmacist almost shot his co-worker.
  9. That's the whole point. Because one day you too will be old and sick. Is that so difficult to understand?
  10. Using what metrics? How about dead Americans.
  11. Ever notice how they go after the soft targets. Corporate welfare (farm subsidies) is just fine though.
  12. http://www.newshounds.us/david_frum_points_the_finger_at_fox_news_for_romney_s_loss_11102012 That's part of the reason. Republicans and Romney are also to blame.
  13. Maybe the "missing year" is in a secret off-shore bank account.
  14. I’m stunned and saddened by the news. You will be missed Adam. With my deepest sympathy to his family, Philip
  15. Ruby Ridge? Yea, I lost a lot of sleep over that too.
  16. Are we going to dredge up the BD assholes every year at this time. Clearly they were a bunch of wack-jobs for killing themselves and their innocent children. It was a good day when they decided to kill themselves. I commend the ATF.
  17. I don't know if Ann Rommey is an unfit mother but her husband is certainly unfit to be president.
  18. Why does Ron Paul have no chance of getting the Republican nomination?
  19. Don’t make it sound like you provide free healthcare coverage. Money for salaries and healthcare comes out of the same pool of money. You pay your employees less to make up the difference just like every other company. I’m not faulting you. The system is the problem which among other things makes your company less globally competitive
