  1. I agree with some previous replies that it is probably due to the packing, but there is a little more involved. When rolling the nose, even if you THINK you are doing it perfectly, there is always the possibility of rolling one side more than the other. This is usually the result of using the same hand (probably your dominant hand) to roll two separate directions. It just isn't even. This is compounded by the speed of the opening. If you are having end cell closure, I'm guessing the openings are fairly slow. (Just a guess) Try this...don't roll the nose at all. Pack as normal and just push the nose in as you described but without rolling it. I know some people are afraid of doing this with Sabres, but I have about 400 jumps on a Sabre and I never roll the nose. (I am loaded about 1.1) I have consistent soft, on-heading openings. Let me know how it goes. Rock
  2. USPA has decided not to post a .pdf version of the new SIM as they did for the last version. This means less people will actually have a usable copy. I am wondering if anyone has already the HTML version on www.uspa.org to a usable, printable format. Note: The actual printed version (yes I actually bought one) states: "The SIM from time to time requires updating. It is the responsibility of SIM holders to keep their version current. New copies and updates may be downloaded free of charge from the USPA website, www.uspa.org, or purchased from the USPA store." I'm just trying to help others live up to their responsibility and keep their SIMs updated. Any computer whiz out there already made the conversion? Rock
  3. I agree with most the posts here, and your own when you said... I have mine set as follows: (for RW) 4K Breakoff 3K Pull 1.5K Hope I never hear it, but if I do I WILL react. You don't want the sound to become commonplace. I suggest moving it down to 1.5K Rock
