I understand, Different mindsets. Personally, I have always had one of my rigs out on loan to someone. So asking about borrowing a rig i am comfortable with, However i would not expect to be able to borrow a new rig. I am sure if someone ever did loan me a rig they would also know that they would get alot from myself in return. I nearly went through all this today. However i have decided to wait until it comes to Australia. Reasons i am waiting is because warranty is only valid in the states and it is not valid if it has been unlocked. Iphone max speed is EDGE (20kbps) Australia is on 3G network (700kbps) When the iphone comes here it will be made for the 3g network. It will also have a 2 year warranty. The other thing about iphone in australia is as it will have a market share it will have to be available on all networks. Unlike the USA and the UK, Australia takes Fair trading very serious and lawyers are saying that if iphone was limited to a specific network then it is illegal. An example would be is Ford said there cars can only run on shell gasoline and if the user tried to run it on BP gasoline then it would brick. (shut down). That is illegal in Australia as it is fair trading. So it is a good chance that the iphone will already be unlocked like many of the top phones on networks over here. My jasjam is for the telstra network but comes unlocked, just like all the Razr models. So the main reason i am going to wait is because when the iphone comes here it will be built to be able to handle the 3g network speeds and more than likely will be a newer model and will have a 2 year warranty as other phones here do. I also believe that the next generation iphones will have bigger storage like the 32gb touch. There are jobs being advertised for people to work on the iphone over here in australia on new things so it kind of confirms that my suspicions of it being a newer model once it comes to Australia. Phones need warranty's, the chance of them having problems after 12 months is very high and that is why i am going to wait. On top of all of that, because of the plan i like to take and am currently on the iphone will be free. For him to talk like he actually knows something about canopies at 36 jumps is pretty amazing I have over 800 jumps and know next to nothing Yeah but when we say that there is always someone else who will then argue that they know more than you giving the advice. I tried to just explain what he was getting at. Anyone who thinks 30+ jumps mean they 'should' be on canopy smaller than a 190 has not been trained correctly about wingloadings. There are many jumpers out there who get instructed to jump a 170 and even a 150 straight off AFF.... and that is fine, they just need to know the reason they are told to jump these size canopies has nothing to do with their amount of jumps and more with wing loadings and wind levels so they will not be flying backwards cause they are so small. People are not giving him a hard time for jumping a 168, eople are giving him a hard time for making out that others with his jump numbers should be on the same size as him when it has nothing to do with jump numbers. I was on a 170 straight off AFF but that does not mean everyone should be. Weight makes a huge difference. I agree. This guy has 100 skydives and is doing some pretty impressive stuff. So impressive that i am waiting to read about his death. He does not have the experience to be doing the stuff he id doing and it will be his downfall pretty soon. Most of us could do what he is doing.....
