I got this feeling that Jacksons Father may have been talking to that ATF agent on the sidelines. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

This is a top class show. I hope it sticks around for a while. They keep introducing new cast and all the new cast are maybe not the most well known actors but they are all known and it seems their roles are tailor made for them. I use to enjoy the shield and i think Dutch playing the new ATF officer is bang on for him. I dont really give a shit what people say about how real this may or may not be but i grew up from the age of 14-16 living with a New Zealand/Australian Bike club presidents family (their son was my best mate and i lived at their house) and I feel alot of similarities about the life style, even though it is a different country, same rules, same local feel etc all apply. I reackon for a tv show this is pretty bang on with a fantastic cast, crew and direction. I just hope it is not one of those shows that dies before the first season is over. With it being an FX show i am pretty certain this may be around 4 or 5 seasons. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I suggest if you love your rugby you should watch last nights AB's vs Australia. Not going to say who won for those that have not seen it and after this post might make an effort to watch it. This was the best game of international rugby i have seen since the World cup 2003 final where Australia met England. This game of rugby had it all, very fast pace and great running. Even though it was played in Australia the vocal crowd was very even with both teams having an awesome presence of supporters. I have followed Rugby very closely over the past 2o years and this game is one of my top 5. For those in the Northern hemisphere.... The bledisole cup is as important to Australia and NZ rugby as the World cup is, if not more. Brillant match! just brilliant. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I think the Brits have just outdone any of the stupid things america has ever done. http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/09/12/2362719.htm .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

The last thing you need to worry about right now is buying gear. First you need to get worry about passing your course. If you want to think about buying gear when you are on your second tandem then go and buy some appropriate shoes and some warm clothing that allows movement. If you are thinking about buying a jumpsuit, skydiving rig at the stage you are at now then the best advice one could give to you is DONT! Please understand I am trying to help you and not belittle you. I sell gear full time so dont think i find it easy to tell people not to buy gear. When you have passed your AFF levels or your tandem progression levels then start looking for gear. Before then though is going to be like going to buy 900 page book without being able to read. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Carl, the only thing you need to worry about buying at the moment is Beer. After you have bought Beer it means you have your A license and then you can worry about altis etc.... For now, just concentrate on buing beer for all those times you say the word 'First". Welcome to the drinking club some people know as skydiving. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

For those that like dark dramas like Breaking bad, the shield, Sopranos...... This show looked really good. The huge cast involves actors who have all had big tv roles in the past. The acting in this show I found to be very mature and the show is Raw. About a Californian Motorbike gang with Kate Segal playing her bitchiest role yet and Ron pearlman playing hard man. I dont think this will be a very mainstream show but it has the potential to be excellent. Appropriate show for FX. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

*** Would be nice but really it is not really our business is it and a instructor should not feel like they have to justify their judgement call to the world. The desicion would have been hard enough, we dont need to stress him out by making him answer to this. We should support him and give him the benefit of the doubt as he has more than likely just made the call of a lifetime. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Well I'm not going to jump on the band wagon until I hear the other side of the story. You never know what happend on the ground. Agree 100%. I dont want to part of a bandwagon, I just believe that if they have told him he cant jump anymore for his own safety then they should return the money for services not rendered. However saying this i think a important factor to that might be the case that he paid for the course and then repeated a level so maybe they have deducted that jump from the money he paid upfront leaving his money all used up. It is very difficult to comment on what he deserves when it is only a whuffos side of the story. I actually have alot of respect for the dropzone in question to hold off and not post in this thread as they dont need to bring their business into the public forums. Sometimes when someone does not defend themselves in a public forum it is usually because it is nonsense and they have self control not to get into a battle with a bunch of people sitting on a couch. I also respect the original poster for not outing the DZ in question as then it would have looked like it was a bad blood post and not a genuine 'iinformation search'. Dropzones do not turn away students after 5 jumps without a very good reason. The students i have seen turned away before usually all was because they continued on some conversation topic that was making the business concerned. Maybe this guy was joking about bouncing too much or something? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

When you prepay for an AFF course you generally get a discount. I wouldn't expect them to give you full price back on the remaining 2 jumps, but they should refund you something for the unused jumps since it's their choice, not yours, to not continue on with it. They have to pay him back if they refused him the product/service he paid for. Scum bags if they dont. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

The DZ is no secret. There are a few Dz's i believe in the states that do this progression. It is good to hear you have become a confident skydiver. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

After another look at the video i sincerely believe that you are telling the truth. That is some gay ass music, Only a newbie to the sport would edit a video with the song "Jump". I'm convinced. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Tons of AFF students fail a level and go up later that day to repeat. Nothing strange there..... I think you will find most AFF students will want to do as many jumps as possible in a day if they have the opportunity. These days people are passing AFF in 48 hours in some places. To have one instructor it sounds like this guy maybe on tandem progression. What I dont get is how after 5 jumps they ask the guy to leave. For them to do that they must have major concern over him and may have just saved his life. You dont ask someone to leave easily and they had seen him jump enough to know that they need to stop him jumping. I have not seen the last 3 videos, so i am speculating big time. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I have been told that the DZ you jump at uses the 1AFFi routine and that you are probably straight up. I look forward to hearing more about this and hope that DZ replies to you. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

*** Im thinking the same thing. He registered in June 2008 and this is his first post. He says 'PC' and talks about not having radio or ground signlas when he would not know that is expected if he is not told about them. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

If you did not have a radio or ground signalling on your first two jumps how do you know that this is what is expected? I get this feeling you are building up to get everyone on side and then to name a dropzone you have bad blood with. Something seems strange about this but maybe it is just my mind playing tricks on me. From what you have said so far it seems like you got the bad end of the stick. So how did you know radio and ground signals are expected if you were not taught with them? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Pretty big arch! I hear of a new programme where you only jump with one instructor but that is in NZ, i think it is from jump 2 onwards. I would love to hear the full story on this and why you are not allowed to return as your video looked pretty good for jump one or two apart from the fact that there was not two instructors there to keep you stable on exit. As for the cameraman leaving early cause you stalled, that is not your problem and is the last thing you should ever worry about. I sure hope they did not give you stick for that. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I think it's perfectly ok for an inexperienced jumper to give his opinion on this. I'm going to do it! Six plus hours of ground instruction followed by your first jump is a LOT for one person to handle. For them to say, "Yeah, come up for four more jumps today," is them being too distanced from the time when they were new to the sport. It helps to take a few days off, look at the video, see your mistakes, contemplate what you're going to do better, hell, just experiencing the buzz you had from that first jump! That was from a newbie's position. This next thing I'm about to say I will admit I'm unqualified to give as a definite. I'm going to say it anyway. Or rather...put it as a question for other instructors to answer. Wouldn't most DZ's fail him at level 2 or something and make him repeat it another day? What i meant it maybe the facts he has stated are only HIS version of events and is not everything the instructor saw to make his opinion. So for us to give our opinion on only half a story is not really helpful to his problem. It would take a hell of alot for a dropzone to turn away a future customer for life. Those decisions are not taken lightly by a business. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

You say that you could not find the PC... dont think i have ever heard a AFF student say that before. Usually they say, i could not find the Pilot chute or, i could not find the ripcord. Does your dropzone teach you with a BOC? .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Hard to say over the internet as you have only given your side of the story and with your side being the side from a person with no experience and being a person who has been asked not to return to their dropzone... it is a hard one to even attempt to answer. The plus side you have on your side is that I dont understand why or how they would let you do 5 AFF jumps in two days if you are bad enough for them to ask you to never return. That seems a bit unfair as 3 jumps AFF jumps in one day is alot of work and takes up a hell of alot of adrenaline for a non experienced jumper. Seems very unfair from that side of things. However, answering such a question based on the points you have made are irrelevant as it is coming from an unexperienced jumpers opinion. Personally, I am glad you did not name and shame a dropzone on a public forum but i do hope the instructors notice this post and let us know their side of the story. I believe if you are safe enough to be allowed to do 5 jumps then they should take responsibility and get you up to a standard where you are allowed to jump more and complete the course. Sorry for your experience, it seems very unprofessional and i make that comment only from the fact that they allowed you to do 5 jumps in 2 days only to turn around and ask you never to return. I hope we find more out about this but i do think you are a good man for not naming and shaming the dropzone in your first post. It would be hard to refrain from doing that in your position. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

NEver tried it but I imagine you could with a few minor teaks to the strap. The Rubber base mould on the bottom of the altitrack does come off very easily. Do remember that the dial on the alti is on an angle so maybe it would not be ideal for chest mounting. I would email mads@l-and-b.dk and I am certain he will reply to you within a day letting you know what he suggests. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
