hey val, it is a strange felling when sending someone skydiving huh? i am in the uk and met another kiwi guy, he is my first 'big' customer, i have just lured him into the sport big time, he has flown home to my dz and just paid a shitload of money for 170 skydives, this includes his AFF levels, he has done a few tandems before and cause of me selling this package he has just commited himself to 170 skydives, the package includes, 20 coach jumps and 50 gear rentals and more. Now i am proud of myself for being the one to get him into this, i realise it is a lot of money and seeing he is a mate he gets free single room accomodation at the dz. I have my next customer arriving in a couple of months. I am a bit nervous as i hope he lives a long life in the sport, or else i guess i will feel bad. The thing that has made me very nervous though is that the day (sunday) he does his first AFF jump, it so happens that my mom and dad and brother and sister are doing their first tandem skydives as well. I bought them these for cost as i just sold 2- $10,000 package skydives, so the owner of the dz, is being pretty nice to me at the moment. As i am in the uk and my entire family and a good mate are all doing their first tnadems and first AFF jump on the otherside of the world all on the same day, maybe even on the same load, i have definetley got the butterflys going for all of them. Fair enough mate, i phoned Libby the other day about a project we have and for some reason we started talking about the pac coming over here to the uk, i said to her that i had seen photos of the taupo one here in the uk skydive mag, her reply was along the lines of John getting rid of it....?? what ever though my apologies for having my facts wrong...again. i am glad you enjoy it. On another note, libby has just had 12 days in a row of non jumping, how is it going in taupo? have you got the crap weather as well? Dude, what are you doing?? if you have had to give up everything else and now the one thing that you must love so much (skydiving) you say there is nothing left to give up. Does not sound like a happy marriage. have you given up your balls too? Do not sell your gear though, it will be tough to get back into the sport without the gear. I would give up swearing and i would give up entertainment systems, drinking, gambling, just about anything for the person i love, but come on, to take away the last bit of freedom you have? I dont know you or your situation bbut i really hope it is not as bad as it sounds, you sound miserable! Why dont you organise a bar-b-q at your house, invite a whole lot of jumping couples and mates over, before they arrive have a wisper in their ear and ask them to be on best behavior and to pay your wife alot of attention, At the end of the night if all goes right she would think they are fantastic people. Then you be sad for the next few weeks, when she asks why you are so down, instead of saying anything about jumping, tell her that you miss all your friends and now have nothing in common with them. Do you think writing notes in class and doing essays might be able to become a 'sport' as well One competitor said on the video that he is more of an endurance player, not a sprinter. Bob.dino, not going to let this argument get personal......cool? not that you have you yet. Anyway, my primary source for it being built for tandems, is that i am from new zealand and you can imagine all the buzz and hype about this plane over the news and the nzpf close to 4 years ago when it was being designed for manufacture. You know a country with only 300 and something skydivers, you hear alot. Now, my big source, for the stall factor may not mean much to this argument but it is my source. My dz owner who was looking at one is a Senioe Air new zealand captain for 767, and also flys our porter, not that he is any good at spotting or anything, and also flys many other aircrafts as we are a flying school. I generally take his opinion on planes as he knows or would not be saying it. I think maybe after looking at purchasing one he knows what he is talking about, i also think that considering his good mate who died landing in the ocean on the maiden flight when delivering the PAC 750 to the states might be a factor of his opinion. I know he had alot of information on this plane as his buddy obviousley had something to do with the company if he was presenting the first one to the world for sale in america. i amnot bad mouthing the plane here, i just know that it was built for designed for Commercial dropzones catering to tandems. Your mates that did all these 8-ways from the plane, i am NOT doubting what you are saying is true at all, i also completley belive they had no problems if you say so. I am just putting the thought up there that maybe the pilot should be asked how he enjoyed making sure it never stalled, i understand if this plane was to stall that you would be in a bit of trouble. I think that pilot would have much better clue to this than the formation that is being stacked. After saying all this, i have also read many good reviews from a dz in cairns, they say the parts are the same price for a 182. And to source the part are very easy. This comes up from my dz owner who was looking at purchasing one and because of this reason went for a new engine in our porter, quite glad actually this porter , when it arrives is meant to get us to 12k in 9 minutes. I am told that if you try to stack or have to many at the door it will stall very easy. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

The PAC was designed in new zealand for the tandem operations. They were not designed for sport jumpers. Is it not bizzare how one of the largest tandem operations in the world being taupo tandems, new zealand is getting rid of theirs as the prefer their islander for the tandem industry. Now people will probably say taupo tandems is not the one of the largest operations in the world but this place does do over 100 tandems a day 7 days a week for 6 months of the year, and this place generally has excellent weather. I remember the USPA recogninsing it as the largest tandem factory in the world a few years ago. they are getting rid of theirs to a dz in the uk as they are not happy with it. You may also be aware that it was designed for tandems going on how easy it is to stall and does not like being stacked with formations. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

ok, so alot of us are suggesting that he land with ski's, now if this was to happen i have a funny feeling that he might need to give up skydiving for a while and spend the next 5 years learning how to ski at whatever speed you go. This is a whole new sport that he will need to master before jumping out of a plane and landing on a pair of ski's without the aid of a parachute.....sounds ridiculous the idea, but maybe i will get to live long enough to see this happen. So it is quite funny to read all the reactions, they were just as i expected. All the gun supporters and bush supporters response was......"shoot the fucker".
