Anyone been watching this show. I think it is fascinating. It will be interesting around 5 weeks in. http://dsc.discovery.com/tv/colony/about/colony.html What would you do in the wake of a global catastrophe? How would you find food? Water? Shelter? The Colony is a controlled experiment to see exactly what it would take to survive and rebuild under these circumstances. For 10 weeks, a group of 10 volunteers, whose backgrounds and expertise represent a cross-section of modern society, are isolated in an urban environment outside Los Angeles and tasked with creating a livable society. With no electricity from the grid, no running water and no communication with the outside world, all the volunteers have to work with are their skills and whatever tools and supplies they can scavenge from their surroundings. Experts from the fields of homeland security, engineering and psychology have helped design the world of The Colony to reflect elements from both real-life disasters and models of what the future could look like after a global viral outbreak. Over the course of the 10-week experiment, the Colonists must work together to build the necessities of survival, such as a water-filtration system, a battery bank that powered their electricity, a solar cooker, a shower system and a greenhouse – and even some niceties (a coffee maker!). Tune in Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 10 p.m. ET/PT to see who thrives and who fails to survive .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

SCOLDING? Are you kidding?!? He gave real good advice, in a regular tone of voice, more detailed than most would give you here, and it's advice to help keep you in one piece. If that doesn't sit well with you I'd look into both growing a thicker skin and finding another hobby Seriously. This ain't child's play. and yes, a ZP 210-230 sound best for you. No shit! someone forgot their crazy pills .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Add about $500-$700 on for options. But that is a good price. You could also buy a Icon-Pilot-Smart-Cypres 2 for about $5700 including all options. I can help you pay off the $700 on top if you need it. (as in give you time to pay). I am sure MIke at chutingstar will also arrange something for you. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Cheers mate but being applauded for stuffing up a customers entire season of skydiving is not something I really want to accept. I am glad that this customer has a few rigs or I would really be in the shit. Being in the shit to me is not a matter of discounting him, giving freebies away or shit like that, being in the shit to me means the guy is stuffed without his gear. Im just glad that is not the situation. Cause nothing would make that situation better. For those of you newbies buying your first piece of kit, if your gear is a week late, dont get mad at your dealer, dont rush out to make him look bad, cause i guarantee he feels like shit for letting you down. At least this customer knows that he will never have to pay anything close to retail price again. His skydiving just got a hell of alot cheaper. To the other dealers- I dont know about you guys but this year is a drag. So many things being late on delivery, so many things not yet released but sold months ago, this is not a fun year in the industry. I have to say, it must be bloody hard being a customer purchasing your first custom made rig. it is surely one of the most single expensive purchases you will make in your life time. Being a customer can not be easy. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

He has been offered a discount on future purchases that mean I will be paying for a percentage of his next order. He had already been given a very large discount to begin with and he understands that. maybe that is why he has been so good about it all. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I do appreciate the spirit in which this thread was started but to some degree you are saying people that have legitimate complaints that post here are "less than" people who just suffer in silence. Obviously I will never need to do business with you but after reading this thread what I take away from it is you really like customers that you forget about and give cruddy service to but don't complain. Guess if I was in your shoes I would feel the same way. Good luck with that Sorry to hear you guess that is what I think. What I was meaning by what you quoted me on was that some people come here and rag on business's right when a problem confronts them rather than say phone the dealer, manufacturer up and find a resoltuion that works for them. I have no problem with someone experiencing terrible customer service and then coming to these forums to tell us all about it. An example, His wrong colour canopy was delivered today, instead of coming straight to the forums and bitching about it he got in touch with me instnatly for us to resolve it. Now a 'lesser' person might and has been known to come straight to the forums and bitch and moan about before actually speaking to their dealer or manufacturer and seeing what can be done about it. I am real sorry you have read alot more into what I wrote than what I actually wrote. Trying to guess what I think and how i feel to then tell me that I like customers that forget about cruddy service is pathetic. I never said that, I never even impllied that. Hell, if i wanted him or anyone to forget about it then I would not have posted a thread on the subject of myself letting a customer down. That is not exactly what you do when you want people to forget about it. And who the hell said anything about anyone 'suffering in silence'?? Jesus christ you are a drama queen. Do you just make this shit up? Again, there is alot to the story that you dont know, maybe it works for him not having his gear yet, maybe he does not need it until next season? What do you know. Please dont sit there making shit up and telling me what I think. Sheesh. Wish i had magic powers like that to know what someone on the other side of the world i have never met is thinking because they said 'lesser'. Either you know my thoughts before i do or you some sort of superhuman who knows how i feel about everything. Maybe you think you have some talent at reading more into a post than what the poster is saying and guessing how they feel inside their head, but in this case you are wrong as what you have described is not me at all. Good luck with your special powers. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

People often come to these forums and lay their complaints for all to see. Im doing it a bit different and going to rag on myself and the experience one of my customers has received this past few months. I am suprised he has not posted it in the forums, well not suprised but a lesser person would have. He has had a shit experience ordering through me. Really shit. I personally would be super pissed if I was him. So he ordered a smart reserve from me, never knowing who i was. He got his smart reserve just as ordered and as fast as possible. He then comes back and orders a Canopy. Shortly after he changes it to a newer material canopy. A couple of months down the track after waiting on a 9 week delivery period he asks about hsi canopy, I find out the status and then am told his colours are not available, a couple of months after he ordered it. So i tell him his colours are not available and we need to change it. About this time he also then orders a container off me during my busssiest ever time. For some reason I just plain forgot to place the order for the container. A month later I realise this and let him know, we then order it that day. So a couple of months later his canopy arrives (today) way overdue..... Its the wrong bloddy colour, wrong pattern. I never changed the patetrn when he changed from original material to new material. His container should be arriving soon as well, way late. To top it off he also ordered a large optimum and that still can not be released from PD, he ordered this many months ago. Now I have to reorder his canopy for him. This guy has had the worst customer service i could imagine and he has been as polite and understanding as anyone could be in this situation and I am very grateful. Of course there is alot of factors that go into making all these mistakes and his delays that i am not going to get into as I am not trying to defend myself. I just wanted to share the terrible experience of one of my customers with you all that think you got it bad when your canopy has been a month late before or a few weeks late. This guy has had everything go pear shapped and he has kept his cool. I have sold more gear this year than I ever have before and this one customer got the bad end of the stick. I know you read the forums and I wanted to say Thank You for not turning on me and not making it harder than it needs to be. Every now and then in life things go so good that something somewhere has to go wrong and I think you got that lucky card. Last year I had a similar customer where everything went wrong as well. I guess it must happen to all dealers at some point and I just wanted to share my customers horror story to give those of you that have purchased elsewhere and had to wait a bit longer than usual another persons experience to reflect on and realize that your problems right now are not as bad as this guy is dealing with. Also in my guest book my customers leave such great feedback and in these forums I have alot of customers thank me for gear, So i thought it was only right that I even it out a bit and share one of my screw ups with you. It is not entirely my fault but it is entirely my responsibility. How many sales do I lose this month cause of this post i wonder. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Fair enough. I did not think of that, I was just wondering why a year old complaint was being bought to the front page but sure enough what you said makes alot of sense. .Karnage Krew Gear Store . -

They are starting to ship out this week. I imagine the wait time now that Aerodyne has the ball rolling will only be around 10 weeks. Aerodyne are awesome with their shipping times, I usually have all my customers canopies within 8 weeks apart from recently with the new products, but now they have it rolling I am sure it will be back to clockwork. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I posted halfway just cause nobody was home for a couple of days and I wnted to say to someone 'damn this movie is good', so came to trusty ole dz.com. Anyway, I knew nothing about this film before i watched it. I had no idea who was in it, who produced it or anything, no idea, it was a huge surprise to me to see P.S.H in it and then to later look online and find out that it is from the makers of adaptation and I think Being John Malkovich, then to find out hoffman also directed it. So my opinion up until the end of it was purely from the film on its own merits. It really is a very mind boggling, creative and very original film. I hope you enjoy it, just make sure you dont walk away from the screen without pausing it etc as there is alot going on. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Actually talking about the HBO version. The thing about this movie is that Drew Barrymore plays a role that is so far from her usual roles. Again, I only saw half an hour of it but I am looking forward now to going back and watching the rest. after a few days with it being on my mind. From what I saw it seems to span over 50 years or something and she plays a young girl and an old lady. From what I saw of her as an old lady she played it so well you had to really ask yourself if it wa drew barrymore. I was surprised with her role and I find myself very intrigued to see where she goes with it. Maybe she is finally at an age where she can do some real acting rather than trying to get a few cheap laughs. Something about what I saw has really made me interested, just cant hit the nail on the head. As it is a HBO movie and it has her in it, at first I am put off, but I have a funny feeling I will miss a excelent performance if dont go back to that movie. I may be way wrong, will find out Sunday night though. It kind of secures my thought of missing something if I dont watch it. I am not from the states so have no idea of what the LA times reviews are but this is one I got from them online. -------------------------------------------- The story of Edith Bouvier Beale and her daughter, Edie, a pair of former society fixtures found living in nonpicturesque yet strangely joyful squalor in the 1970s, began as a cover story in New York magazine. It went on to become a cult-worshiped documentary, a Broadway musical, a documentary of the making of that Broadway musical and now a movie on HBO. Surely someone should just write the "Grey Gardens" symphony and be done with it. Well, two someones, namely screenwriters Michael Sucsy (who also directed) and Patricia Rozema, have. Anchored by amazing performances by Jessica Lange and Drew Barrymore, the “Grey Gardens” that premieres tonight is, like its subjects, a brilliant, moving, hilarious and mesmerizing mess of a movie that miraculously captures what made the Beales such iconic characters. That's a lot of adjectives, but "Grey Gardens" is a lot of movie. Lange, we are reminded once again, is an actress who can do anything, anything, including play a bedraggled, gray-haired woman who stands amid piles of rotting garbage and cat feces, looks Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis (a terrific Jeanne Tripplehorn) straight in the eye and says in her most beguiling tones: "You know, chicken, if you ever need a place to stay, you're always welcome here." If Lange was an obvious choice for her role, Barrymore was not. When she was cast as Little Edie, the scarf-swathed, uninhibited, often scathing middle-aged sprite who lighted up Albert and David Maysles' original documentary, I must confess I thought the project was doomed. Barrymore's cute and all, but how could she embody a woman who was dancing with an American flag one minute and taking down East Hampton society the next? Perfectly, as it turns out. Her young Edie has just enough hint of otherworldliness and self-delusion to make her later Edie completely believable, and the Barrymore twinkle makes the occasional glimpses of Edie's tamped-down sadness even more affecting. In other, less loving and capable hands, this strange symbiotic relationship between mother and daughter could easily have become a typical mama-dominatrix trope. Here, as in the documentary, it is something more startling: an orchid growing in the shade and rot of the forest floor, a fragile ecosystem threatened by more modern-minded developers. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

You might wanna read that part in italics again! That's at least a little negative! Yeah I put that in their cause i think it is a fair comment. it says the truth, it is a bit fuked up and or a bit amazing so to speak. It gives both arguments, well thats how I took it. Thanks for removing the parts you did. Look, 95% of movies these days that make it to the big screen ahve all been done before, r they are movies that you can say, ok, it is either going to end like this, or like this or like that, you can guess and one of your guesses will be right. With this movie you jsut have no fucking idea the whole way through. I usually hate movies that dont give you a just ending, but that is because they usually have shit performances. In this one it has great performances. That makes it for me. Phillip to me is like Edward Norton, Sean penn, maybe even Matt Damon (minus Bourne series), He is an actor that can really give a strong performance and make a movie no matter what the movie is about. He did it in this one as he does in all his movies. Mind you I never watched all of that last Nun-Priest movie he was in, got a bit bored with it, so it was good to see this and see hiim keeping me interested again. Anyway, as I said, I respect your opinion and I can fully see where you are coming from, it just suited my taste and I think it will suit alot of peoples taste. I think this movie is for those that want a quiet day with a good lazy DVD experience. You will either Love it or you will hate it. Some might call it art, I will not put this movie into a genre like thatas I think it is very unique. And for those that Didnt like Eternal sunshine spotless mind or whatever it was called, neither did i, but i guess it might be along those lines. (never finished that either). I do hope to hear what some other people thought about the movie or hear that someone has been inspired by this banter to have a look at it. I have not seen a movie that kept me this interested all year.... and I think I have seen most of them. Actually Quade--- I just started watching 'Grey Gardens a couple of days ago, only got half an hourinto it. Hated it at first but then it got me intrigued. I got up to where they were told in the bedroom they wanted to make a documentry on them, thats where it got interesting. I have not gone back to it though... Have you seen this movie? Seems very strange. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Yeah, he does a good job with whatever he's given, but in this case, what he's given just doesn't make sense when you look at it all the way through. You sure like to give alot of information away. Those that decide to watch it would have a much better experience if you dont start telling them about the film. I have just been reading reviews and fail to find one single review that puts this movie down... ---------------- Synecdoche, New York, review Maverick screenwriter Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut is not the happiest film around, but it's still a magnificently honest, mind-bending masterpiece. ------------------------------------------- The film is either a masterpiece or a massively dysfunctional act of self-indulgence and self-laceration. It has brilliance, either way: surreal, utterly distinctive, witty, gloomy in the manner that his fans will recognise and adore, but with a new epic confidence, absorbing the influences of Fellini and Lynch. As with his previous films, Adaptation and The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I had the uneasy feeling that one single idea was being extruded to an excessive length, but this movie's crazy emotional intensity and ambition really punched my lights out on a second viewing. And that protracted final sequence is quite extraordinary ------------------------------------------------------------ Maverick screenwriter Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut is not the happiest film around, but it's still a magnificently honest, mind-bending masterpiece. ----------------------------------------------------------------- QUADE- I hear you dont like it and thats cool mate, but you think you could not jump on a thread I have started and start telling people the plot of the movie and let them enjoy the same mystery I did and had written in the original post that I also suggest others not to read anythign about the story line etc? Let them experience what you and I did and find out for themselves what they think. Anyway, I loved the movie, it sounds like you missed something if you did not understand it. If people liked 'Adaptation' and Being John Malckovich' then they should at least watch this and find out for themselves. I know you work in the industry and your opinion is very valid, I think of myself as a big movie buff considering the amount of movies I watch and this is not one I will forget anytime soon. I can see how some would not like it but for those that enjoy these types of movies will get a real kick out of it. Anyway mate, I respect your opinion, actually for 8 years now I have read your posts as if they were quotes from the bible, I have alot of respect for you, it would be nice if you could give me the idea of this thread "dont read any reviews or find out what this movie is about, just watch it' and edit where you start to tell other users what this movie is based around. If not, well thats your choice and your right, I am only asking as i think it spoils it for those like me who like to watch a movie without 'seeing the previews' first so to speak. Im going to get flamed for that request from someone I am certain of it, but I have to at least ask you do. Cheers. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I was through it alot more than I thought, I was watching it on my own and just had to share how great I thought it was with someone, so i came to the forums. I still think it is a brilliant movie. Very different from anything I have seen before and kept me guessing and very interested the whole way through. I still think it is brilliant. I actually believe it is one of the best movies I have seen since the last one I enjoyed so much which was 'August Rush'. I like the way Phillip portrays his charachters emotions in films and think this was a stand up performance. Each to their own though. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

Anyone who really enjoys good movies, you have to see this movie. "synecdoche.new.york" Do yourself a favour, Do NOT read a review, do NOT look it up, just watch it. This movie is one you want to know nothing about when you start to watch it. I really would love to hear what people think about this movie as I have no idea what to think except it being a movie of Brilliance. I am only half way through it, i hope it does not elt me down at the end. So far it would be one of the best 3 or 5 movies I have ever seen. .Karnage Krew Gear Store .

I think it is a bit of a bigger issue than waiting. As far as I knew PD were selling these canopies. I then sold half a dozen to my customers to find out two months later that they were not actually allowed to be shipped. Seriously, what is taking so long for these to be released? PD has had them made and ready to move for months now. Whoever it is that is holding them up really is starting to take the piss. I know PD has nothing to do with the hold up as they have and continue to do everything they can to release these canopies. On a better note, My customers ZPX canopies are being released on Monday! .Karnage Krew Gear Store .
