Woohoo !! Got my new suit in the mail. It's an RW suit from AirCare (RW I know, but I need it to get my FS1). WTF? Skydiving is inherently dangerous, if you can't accept that you shouldn't be jumping. There's 3 warning labels on every rig - they must have seen at least one !! ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone -

This weekend I had to help someone fit a (slick) sabre 190 into a bag made for a 150. Had to psycho pack it cos we couldn't get it in otherwise. ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone

what a bad weekend !! On saturday we had great weather, and supposed to have an Islander down as well as our usual 182. The Islander didn't show up, and we had no pilot for the 182. No jumping . Was going to stay a friend's house on saturday and go clubbing etc, bu on the way we lost all the electrics in the car and had to wat a few hours to be rescued by the RAC. Didn't get into the club until 11:00, then we were too tired to do anything. Left after about an hour. Today, again nice weather, but couldn't get hold of the pilot at all. no jumping again !! then I get back home and the power supply on my pc has died, but at least I had a spare 350 watt lying around. Off to the pub later ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone

TAS (or true air speed) is the actual speed you move through the air - in a fixed position you will go faster up high then lower down due to the lower air pressure (ie less drag per given airspeed). SAS (skydiver airspeed) compensates for this and gives you a reading as if the air pressure is constant throughout the whole dive (same as 4000 feet at 7 degrees) ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
