Welcome Darcy, to your new family as it's already been stated. Although no other jump will ever feel the same as the one you just made, they ALL will feel unique and incredible it their own way. Your one of the fortunate few (and I say few as a matter of perspective) who is lucky enough to have just had a life altering experience. You'll never see the sky the same way again, you'll never look at an aircraft again without thinking.. hmmm that'll be cool to jump from, and you'll never fly in a commercial plane again without looking out the window and thinking to yourself.. hmmm where would I put down at from here? It's 10:40 EST and I am about to start drinking heavyly. Lets see... My kids in IL with their mom whom I can not get a hold of, my second Family in CA..(with three step-children I'm not there for right now) I am in NY for my brother who just went through life saving surgery and is still in ICU and my 70 year old mom with a very bad heart worrying all of us. Did I mention I am staying at my aunt and uncles house right now and my aunt is suffereing from Altzheimers and doesn't even know who I am? Ok sorry to kijack a thread with my self induced pitty party.. but in about 30 minutes I'm really gonna need that drunk call list. Which I need to update my number to 661-213-6192 SMA#18

My opinion as humble as it might be.. You paid DAMN good money and if it's their screw-up they should do all they can to make it right. Between the two.. I like YOUR colors better, seems more "balanced". If it were me.. I'd send it back. I didn't look at your profile so I am not sure where you jump, but the weather is turning colder so if there is ever a time to send it back.. it's now! Either way, it's a sweet rig.. It's not the speed you hit the water it's the body position at which you to, Cliff divers and stunt divers can hit the water at incredible speeds but their body position is such to where they basically slice right though the water then arch and slow down rapidly, as most of us remember from kids, we can belly flop off a diving board, hit the water at a speed that is no faster than a slow jog and get the ever living shit knocked out of you!
