I'd like to go on a tandem to see if skydiving is something that I would like to undertake as a sport. I'm 50 yo and have 5 SL jumps from the US Army's basic jump course at Ft Benning, GA (29 years ago !). I only have the 5 SL jumps since I was cross branch Air Force there only for the summer course. I totally loved it. Since then I've always wanted to skydive and experience the unrestricted aspect of "flying".Youtube videos of wingsuit flying have completely pumped me up like never before. I fly airplanes for a living but Wingsuit flying truly looks amazing to me. I know - one thing at a time.
For now I'm looking to drop a few lbs to meet the 230lb limit for the tandem. I'm sure I'll be nervous as I dangle my legs out of an airplane at 13,000 feet, for the first time- but the ride down sure looks like it's more than worth it.
