i new she was hot!!!
-
I am a newbie, an I don't think it would be intimidating at all. In fact, it would put me at ease. If someone has 1000 jumps and they have only been in the sport for 2 yrs vs someon who has been in for 10 yrs, i will listen to the latter of the two more. Why? Because he/she has been around the DZ and on sites like this longer, and has seen more first hand things. Us newbies may be intimidated to speak or argue, but we are here and lurking, because we want to learn, and we want to be safe. I think it is a great idea!!!!!
-
Many of you experiened jumpers I am sure have put a bit of fear into the firstimers on jump run. If you have a good story on how to freak out tandems and newbies please share.

Cancer rocks... Well not that kind of cancer. No I am a cancer... but i don't mean "I am a CANCER". you know what I mean

Is she hot, and does she live in the North East????? Welcome Welcome...

I am sure you heard of the guy in PARACHUTIST.. I forget his name. He's young, I think he was in the sport like 2yrs and had something ridiculous like 4000 jumps... ROOK NELSON I think that is it. I just i wish I had the time and money for that.

Tom, you make a very good point. My friend at the "ranch" just got his yellow card, and was going over it. I am out for the season with an injury, but when I start in Apr, the first thing I am getting is the yellow card. It lays out all the requirements, so us students know what to do. If I hadn't seen my buddy's, I would have been clueless on all the requirements. C.

I am NY and it definately sux.... Who can afford to just go to FLA for the weekend? Well, not me

I really have to say I am surprized by the numbers! I was definately expecting most everyone to be, well, less financially stable. I agree that most of us do pretty well as far as income, but if you are anything like me, then your broke. But that is just how I choose to live
-
I was just wondering what the average income for us skydivers is, and how we all make ends meet. As we all know, the sport can be expensive: What sacrifices do you have to make to jump?
-
I'm new in the sport, but I can not help but tell people what I do. I have to say something. It is not that I am bragging, but I have this need to express my feelings about it. I am not a very open person at all. But there is something about this I need to share. I told my parents about 10yrs ago that when I got older, I was going to go skydiving. And they said not as long as you are my kid are you going. Now I go, and I call them everytime I get back, and you know what... They don't like it, but they respect the fact that i love it. As far as everyone at work. THEY are Sick Of Hearing about, and I can't blame them, it is all I talk about. Don't be affraid or embarrassed, BE PROUD that you are 1 of about 35K people in this country that have the balls to face all your fears, and triumph. You Are A Skydiver... Let The World Know c

I "had" the same issue. I was standing up my landings fine. I switched to a knew chute, and bit the dirt. broken wrist, and now can't jump. I am nervous to try again once it heals, because my confidence is shot. I know I just have to think possative, and all will be fine. You too.. You can do it, and so can I. c

Ever since watching the freefly clowns, all I can think about is sublime in the background.

The best song has to be: "Black Betty" **bamalam**

A smart man lets the woman pay for their tandum. It was my b-day gift. I get to pay my own medical bills though for the mistakes I made
-
Hey guys and gals.... It was a good discussion, but I have to go home now. Talk to later
-
Agreed. THe only thing that makes me think though is: Usually the CIA will just lie about it or cover it up. They came out and told us. It seems odd. Makes me want to believe they knew something was up.
-
Well, that sounded like the most intelligent thing you have said so far
-
We get to just kill when we feel there is am emminent threat to our well being. Same as the police. If they feel their life is in danger they can shoot. We (you and I) do not know what the CIA knows, and therefore can not say they made the wrong decision
-
LMAO at that crack comment
-
Is that really what you think? I am being serious. You really seemed parinoid and worried that this country is going to quickly fall into a dictators hands, and that the world is coming to an end. I am not trying to argue with you, I just want you to realize that we knew this was coming, and this was something that needs to be done. Bush said it a year ago, and did you doubt it then. If this happened on Sept20th 2001 would you be that upset? Or is it that it has been so long since 9/11 that we should stop fighting the war? THIS GUY WAS NOT THE TARGET. he unfortunately got in the way. SHIT HAPPENS>

"The Nazi party in Germany didn't seize power overnight. It was years of small moves in that direction that got them to where they did. I see this as a small move in that same direction. -------------------------------------------------------------- Slightly different thing going on back then. Ravaged country and economy due to a war 15 yrs earlier. Desparate people were looking for anyone to fill the void. But seriously, are you happier not know what the CIA is up to? this stuff happens all the time. I am surprized and happy to see the info. Atleast they are being honest to us.

This has the bad beginings of what lloks like a political debate coming. I am going to just sit back now and watch it unfurl.
-
Zlew, I am right there with you. I don't want to get political or anything, but I think people and the media need to realize we are at war. And war comes with casualties. When did we start becoming so sypathetic. Yeah I feel bad for the guys family and all, but that is what happens when you hang out with the enemy, or even live near the enemy sometimes. How many people died in London in WWII. Shit happens, but again that is the price of war. We should realize that the US and a few other countries are the nice ones that use pretty accurate weapons. It sure beats the blanket bombing other countries still use due to lack of technology. Our goal is not to kill innocent people, but sometimes it will happen.
