*** I always live life as if there WILL be a tomorrow. I use that line when the conditions are questionable for jumping..Like, you can always jump another day if its doesn't feel right today.. but does that mean you put off what you could do today for tomorrow all the time? I pay my bills that way or do the dishes, sometimes.

I'm no wing suit pilot, nor do I play one on tv but I do have a question if you are in a flat spin. wouldn't tucking your arms and legs in a ball actually increase the speed of the turn much like ice skaters tuck their arms in and spin on a given spot?

assuming you have a pc model camera mounted as well, that could be used a cover up for a hole for the cable. use some ingenuity and route the cable threw a hole or make another one behind whatever mount you have. then you'd only need to tape down a small portion of the cable(that is if a clean look is what you are going for) I have a half rack with rebel 2000 on top, I have a small hole under the flat top for its cable. my cam-eye is mounted flush in the fin and the cable is routed through the l bracket so only the plug is exposed. except for a couple of inches under the flat top i don't have any wires exposed

nah you don't want one. rambo got snagged on a nice black one like that years ago years ago in his first, um, documentary. I think he had to cut away a lot of his gear too. pity sbb

I used to be a little scared of heights too. skydiving has obviously changed that but when I started even looking over a stairwell 4 stories up made me a little weak. I think it was because I had no control on how to save my ass if something went wrong. That feeling of having some kind of a backup being that high off the ground is a little bit of piece of mind. sbb

***I've jumped in what would considered really cold (for Texas, -14 at altitude) before and I still enjoyed it. In that case feel free to drop in up here anytime aggiedave. temp at altitude can be less than 0 more often than not. we'll have a frozen swoop pond soon?

That's funny, sounds like the rest of the country was not doing so well. I live in the land of crappy weather, nebraska, and we put up something like 7 or so static liners. I personally made 4 and I slept in till 10. I didn't think I was gonna make one when I looked out the window. then again all I need is 3k to have fun.

Since the inception of skydiving in nebraska, the locals have never been able to demo into the husker stadium that I know of. rumor has it, years ago the coach didn't want skydivers 'showing up' the team(and this is when they were good, not this year obviously). GK's have jumped before and tomorrow, the air force team will make a jump into the tx/ne game. well as it would be, one of my instructors when I was a student, is on that team. I can't help feeling a little pissed at the U, but man it will be cool to see one of our own getting into the stadium. hehe
