Gath helmets aren't too bad for starters but they don't protect much...I'd do what i did and go with the mindwarp from bonehead. Comfortable, safe and when you get into camera work you can stick a d-box on the side. but defenatly check out if you can get a used one that fits.

when tye dying i find liquid dyes work best...but what you need is an eye dropper and maybe 3 colors....grab the material, bunch some up and wrap elastics around it...if it's a cotton suit you should soak it in water for 20 minutes to "loosen" the fibers so the dye stays in better...then take the eye dropper or syringe, fill it with dye and SLOWLY drip it around the areas that have elastics..not to many colors or it'll turn brown. then when you're done dying put it in a garbage bag for a day and take it out and hang it to dry. at least that's what we did in chem class for tye dyign and it worked GREAT!

yeah i bought the new mindwarp not long ago and I baked it without the chin cup...but i had to bake it 3 times before i got the fit i wanted, you have to really press hard on those sides. i suggest getting a huge towel and wraping it tight around your head and tying it....sure it looks like you have a giant tuban but at least you'll get a good fit on the windwarp
-
YEAH jay! I was there for those jumps (well 2 of them) can't wait to see that new suit at the DZ when you get it
-
HAHAHA that's great! i must say i think the best was that poor little boy walking in the garden haha it just lunged at his face!
-
Well I guess that's bad for me hahaha

I'm just curious as to which one you found easier to learn. A lot of people seem to have trouble with sit while others don't. Just curious as to what you found the easiest one to learn

i tihnk the mindwarp on the website is the new one...it just looks all jazzed up, because that's what mine looks like and all...as for the gunner...maybe they're just getting lazy?
-
i already posted pictures of my new mindwarp...in fact look near the bottom of the forum here...you'll see NEW MINDWARP haha It's not that different from the old one. Just dual audio pockets and different lining inside.

How many jumps do you have?
adamjenner replied to JumpCrazy's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
since june 25 2002, i've only got 11 jumps because of expenses -
I ordered mine in from paragear As for the mounting that's what i figured, that you'd have to put washer or something to compensate for that buldge. THanks!

The question came up in the other thread about this helmet, because of the dual audio pockets and how that part tends to stick out a little, will it be possible to stick a d-box on the side or will that little hump make it more difficult (not like i care, I still have 200 jumps to go before using a camera) I'm just curious.
