Hey, Max! Yep! I got 2 jumps in. HAPPY DANCE!!! YIPPEE!!! It felt so good to be back in the air, again.

As I leave the airport on the 13th, it is 20F in Milwaukee. All I can think of is warm Texan weather...skydiving...wandering around Texas....meeting some dz.commers. I have a lay-over in Memphis and this young gentleman gets on the plane and sits in the seat next to me. He notices the Texas tour book I have on my lap and mentions he was born in Texas. We proceed to spend the next 1 hour and 15 minutes talking about Texas - where I'd like, locations to avoid, Texas people. Very wonderful intro to Texas. Despite the rain on Friday, I ended up driving out to Austin and checking out the town, the scenery in-between Houston and Austin, and as much as possible. I never ended up making it to Skydive Houston as a result of the weather. (Oh...well....another trip to Texas needed.) I did end up getting 2 jumps in at Spaceland on Saturday. Talk about wide open areas...nice!!! Although, I did get to experience Texas mud and water...LOL - Talk about icky landings. I so need to start doing stand up landings!!! With my time in Texas, I ended up meeting Pablito, FlyBoyShell, JumperConway, Rebecca, Gemini, Cory, Steve, and many, many others. Sorry to those I'm not naming - I'm really bad at names but excellent at faces. The people that I met were very warm and welcoming and made me feel like I was at home. Personally, I'd say go with a Honda. When I was looking for a cycle, the Honda fit better, was more comfortable, etc. And the bonus for my Honda - if you don't look at the emblem on it, you'd think it was a Harley.

Hey, Lenny! I'm going to be flying into LA or Burbank - not sure which one yet - on March 13th returning March 16th. Michele is being an absolute sweetheart and being my tour guide (plus trying to convince me that California's the place to be ), and we're going to do some jumping - probably at Elsinore. That'd be cool to meet up with you if you're in the area. Good luck convincing the wife! Otherwise, hopefully, the weather will be good Feb. 22nd/23rd, and we can meet up and jump then at SK.
