Yes, it does stop snowing...eventually. Wisconsin weather loves to mess with people, however. On Thursday and Friday, it had been 50F. On Saturday, we had a high of 22F with high winds and snow. On Sunday, we had a high of 19F. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on your A. Check out the gear and rigging forum. You may get more of a response if you post your question about 7 cell vs. 9 cell, etc. in that forum. hmmmm....advice....that's a very tricky slope to go down. I'll explain how I chose what I was going to do and that might help. I've done 63 jumps of which only 1 has been a tandem and that was jump #12. When I chose what I was going to do, my thoughts were that I wanted to be 100% responsible for anything that happened to me. So, I chose AFF, because I had to deploy my own parachute. I had to pay attention to what was going on. I had to land my parachute (albeit with a person on the radio telling me when to flare). When I did my tandem, I did it, because I was trying to talk some people into jumping and since they were a little bit freaked about the concept, I told them to do a tandem. But, I would not tell them to do one without doing one first. So, on my 12th jump, I did a tandem. I had a blast, but having done AFF prior to the tandem, I was a little bit freaked as I didn't have my own parachute - someone else was now added to the mixture. For me...I love being in the air - doing a solo or RW. So, for you to choose, it's all a matter of preference and what you are comfortable with. Good luck in your choice. Either way, you'll be in the air and loving it. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

ZeroG and I were having a discussion the other day. I've searched DZ.com and didn't find a poll that had been done so I thought I'd ask. I'm not looking to get into a debate for those that choose the "don't know how to" option. Just curious to see what the majority does. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! How are your landings? Are they consistently stand up? I'd say stick with the 210 based on the above statement you made. Get some more experience under a 210. You can always downsize later. Also, what do your instructors think? Just my $0.02. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

Do you recieve a hard time from your co-workers about skydiving?
ladyskydiver replied to nubain1's topic in The Bonfire
The VP I work has about 6000 jumps so I don't get a hard time. The rest of my co-workers think that we're a little nuts but don't give us a hard time. They usually just say that it's not for them and to be safe. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. Is it ethical to check up on someone you love?
ladyskydiver replied to shouldispy's topic in The Bonfire
If you trusted her, you wouldn't have checked her email and read it. I do agree, however, that if it makes you uncomfortable for her to meet him, let her know and see if you can go with her. You may find that there is nothing to worry about. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile. -
