At my DZ, the office has your reserve repack date in the computer so when you show up and open your account, they will know if you're getting close to your reserve repack date or if you're due for one. They are really great in reminding you - "Hey, your reserve is due to be repacked in 2 weeks." And, when it shows up red on the computer, they ask you for your reserve repack card. I have a problem with this sort of attitude. The language you speak is your choice alone, and no one elses business. Considering the vast amount of immigrants in your country, perhaps YOU should try to learn THEIR language as a courtesy to them! No. Plain and simple. It is our country. The national language is English. When they come here, I expect them to speak English - even if it's rudimentary English. Just as when I finally go to another country, I should speak at least a little of their language. It is only polite and correct. 1 exhausted LadySkyDiver: 3: 1 Had some great jumps last night. First jump of the day was a tribute to Quinn. I, also, didn't have my rig so I borrowed a friend's rig and jumped for the first time a Triathalon 135. Holy cow that was fun! Had a blast with the canopy. Opened high to crank on it and see how it handled. Realized that compared to my Silhouette 170, this thing has a much quicker decent - DUH! Set up my landing pattern at 500 ft. ('cause with my Silhouette I can make it), and realize that I'm not going to make the landing area. Land ok and crack up laughing. Changing canopy size and actually going from a .8 to 1 to a 1.22 to 1 is a nice change. I know that my next downsizing will be to something closer to what my ratio was with the 135. Second jump of the day my rig showed up at the DZ. (I'm having patches sewn on it.) And, I got to jump it with the memorial patch to my dad on it. Love ya, dad! The last jump of the day - sunset load - did a 9 way speed star. It so rocked! Found out that I can get down to the big dawgs, but that I definitely need to wear weights. I've traveled 4 times (so far) with my rig this year - once to Florida, once to Houston, and twice to California - all on different airlines. I had absolutely no problems with any of the airlines. I did make sure that I had my Cypress card, the Airtec letter about Cyress and DOT, and if the airline had a policy allowing rigs, I had their letter as well. I was only questioned once by a TSA dude about my Cypress. I showed him all the info I had, and he was ok with it. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly!
