  1. Ok...isn't the usual hijack of a thread accomplished by doing a CrazyIvan imitation: BOOBIES Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

  5. I've got a Wings and love the fit of it. But, I agree with Kate...try out various rigs and see what works for you. Good luck in your search. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  6. I've had 2 'breaks" since I started jumping. Did my first jump in 2000 and then for various reasons ended up taking 9 months off. Came back in 2001 and did a few more jumps and then ended up taking 10 months off 'cause my dad was dying and I preferred to spend time with him while he was dying. Came back into the sport in Aug. 2002 and am hopefully back for good.
  7. I have a Raven Dash-M 150 reserve and have jumped it twice. My wingloading on that is 1:1. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  8. Used to wear mine 24/7, but I lost it on a jump and have been lazy in replacing it. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

    dz.review

Well, based on this poll, I went in and posted reviews of the DZ's that I've been to. I'll make sure that I keep doing that from now on. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  11. I did shed some tears of joy. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.

  14. 600+: 0: 0 600+ - Number of miles I put on my cycle this weekend. Went to the Summer Twister Cycle Rally for Vietnam Vets in Birnamwood, WI. Did a ton of riding hence the numbers in the next 2 columns. It was a great weekend (despite not jumping). Beautiful country...lots of green....no phones (cell didn't work in that area)....tons of relaxation.
  15. Not doing anything better - just packing and taking breaks to check DZ.com every once in awhile. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  16. It's enough, QD. You do not have to know the individuals involved. The fact that you care enough to send vibes and condolences is often times just what is needed. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
  17. I was very impressed with the safety conscious attitude at Deland. The first day I went there to jump, the winds were cranking. They put a hold on jumpers due to winds - you had to have 200 jumps (D license) to jump. That really impressed me. Wasn't comfortable with the multiple active runways.
  18. Spent 2 days jumping at ZHills in Jan. 2003. Had a blast. Huge landing area, friendly people. I'll definitely go back.
  19. Had a competition meet at the DZ. People were very friendly and safety conscious.
  20. People were very friendly. Lots of outs. They were very safety conscious when doing the night jumps and had an exceptionally well lit landing area (if you didn't have an off DZ landing - LOL). Only thing that was a bit freaky was having the gun club next to the landing area - you definitely made sure where you were landing.
  21. During a break in the weather, I was able to get in a couple of jumps. The people were very friendly. Landing area is HUGE!! Outs on 3 of the 4 sides. Only difficulty to begin with is finding the DZ due to the grass runway.
  22. The scenery is absolutely goregous. Mountains on 2 sides...lake on a third...nothing more beautiful than a sunset hop 'n' pop at full alti. People are very friendly and welcoming. It's great to have the student, swoopers and regular jumpers each having their own landing area. Only thing that was "strange" was the fact the winds would sometimes switch directions every load.
  23. Congrats, Michele! You rawk!!!!
  24. My condolences to Rob's family, Mujie and everyone who knew Rob. Blue skies, Rob. Life is short! Break the rules! Forgive quickly! Kiss slowly! Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that made you smile.
